There is also a common misconception that America singlehandedly won WW2. the main and most pivital battles in the run up to being able to invade gemany were without doubt the battle of britain, which we won by the narowest of narrow margins and the failure of hitlers russian campaigns. The reason america has any claim to "winning" world war 2 is that they showed up just in time to start preparing for the invasion of europe. and the only reason they got involved was because they were atacked. I believe that the US's involvement in other countries has at the very least sped up the process of adding us to the terrorists top-ten hit-list. Again, both parties are guilty of this. Last I checked though, Clinton had troops stationed in more countries than any previous pres. Comparing 9-11 with tiny localized terror is just not sound. What happened in the UK is totally different than the fact that radical, Islamic, terrorists are striking around the world killing thousands. Yes, in lefty eyes, this is what we are doing too.
