I'm not at all surprised at the actions of that guy, I have met many such people in my life.
What truly surprises me is that jerrek of all people posted this thread.

This guy wouldn't know an act of kindness if it came up and bit him in the ass!!!!

    just messing J

    ....or maybe not.

He has a special filter on his CPU that only recognizes acts of kindness that have the following two words in it:
    _ Canadian
    _ Hockey

Edited post to add other words that are recognized by Jerrek's CPU.

    - Liberterian
    - Guns
    - Bush
    - Bible Study
    - Threesome
    - Jerrek best

    Hopeful story. Very generous man.
I just thought, what if it was Michael Jackson, then it wouldn't have been received as gratefully.

that must be one bussy man.
between being in the suport crew for that sight, aperantly a medicle profesionle, designign x-box games, and paintball....
not too mention random acts of kindness.

every once in a while i think about how it might be to make life happier and easier for my fellow man, instead of doing everything in my miniscule power to make them misserable.
i wonder what it would feel like to comit one of these acts of kindess as opposed to sensless destruction and violance.
yet i always take the easy way out and cuntinue on my path of self destruction and bitter contempt for all life... undoutadly this time will be no diferent.
im so pathetic....wont someone please shoot me now and make the universe just that much kinder? ... please, end my missery....

But they also took advantage of me when I was just beggining (Talon) and made me run with a TALON while others had angels - The most cheapest gun that was used besides mine was the Tippman custom. I Got torn up.

Maybe I am just too cynical.

What I see in this story is a comment on everyone else.

It makes me sad that this guy going out of his way to buy a toy for a kid and make a nice gesture is hailed up as some heroic action.

I wish that it weren't such a big deal because it is something that happens all the time.

I think it was a nice thing he did.
I wish more people did nice things.

    We have this shit backwards.

We are all so jaded to all the crap around us that if someone killed this kid it would be less shocking than someone buying him a present.

I don't see this act as hope for the future, rather I see the reaction to it as hopelessness for the future.

    WOW

I am in shock. It is nice to know that there are people like this in the world who don't care about money but they just want to help others in need. This is a story will never forget.
