Mystery of Necronomicon - straight up porn......there is a pathetic little story tagged on but it is mostly lesbien and hetro porn.

La blue girl - read above.

Hellsing - I've heard praises about this show and i know very little about it. A, badass hunter with a badas gun, hunts vampires and demons and that is all i know.

Trigun - Hillarious show and a good one. Vash is a excellent marksmen but he has never shot a man. He is always under trouble because there is a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head.

Perfect Blue - If you even remotely enjoy anime and have not seen this movie you are doing disservice to yourself. An amazing movie that aviods normal cliches of anime to bring something completely fresh and new, devoid of all the robots and fantasy anime themes and settings..

The story is about a former member of a famous pop group who leaves her famous music group to try acting. After landing a spot on a TV soap she starts to become famous but keeps losing a part of her self little by little. That, however, is the least of her problems because a crazy fan starts to harass and stalk her, killing those he feels have wronged her and her carrer. She keeps losing more and more of her sanity.

This movie is highly recommended because the whole story is excellent and well planned out. It is gory and greusome with nudity and bloody murders so even better.....also the wicked and excellent ending doesn't hurt either.

FLCL - It just started on CartoonNetwork and it is probably hands down the weirdest show i have ever seen. The story makes no sense so far but it has only been 3 episodes so technically it shouldn't. This show is probably the best animated show in terms of camera angles and animation styling. Watch for 2 mintues and if you don't have a headache by then you come to realize that no other show on TV right now is animated this weirdly or intensly. The camera angles are always in the extremes and the fight scenes are beyond wild and many times the animation completely switches styles on the fly to something completely different...be it comic book panels style to "Home movies" (the earlier version) style.

The show it self is completely away from the main anime cliches...yes there are robots...yes there are girls in school outfits and yes there is the perverted dad but even with all that it is very different from your ordinary anime shows. Watch it if you have the chance.

    About Fooly Cooly (FLCL)

I have all 6 episodes (sub) I am also watching the CN version. The show can be best describe as what happens when you try to interpret the work of 1000 chimps on typewriters into an animated series. Some say it sick and depraved others call it genius. Here are some tips that might make the show a little more understandable:

    - Intergalactic police are total assholes, if one lands on your planet in pursuit of a criminal, the police officer will usually cause more damage and destruction then the criminal and on purpose to because they are greedy selfish jerks… but they are cool to watch in action.
    - A electric guitar specifically a 1961 Gibson EB-Zero is the most powerful weapon in all the known universe and in all parallel universi and in all higher dimensional plans, basically everywhere that claims to exist has to bow down to the power of heavy metal.
    - If your being sexually molested by your brothers older girlfriend don’t encourage her.
    - The Japanese MIB are just like the NY MIB except the women have to were tight dress and spandex pantyhose.
    - If there is a giant steam iron shaped build just outside of your town that constantly spews out steam, yet the MIB claim its just a robot factory for making medical machines don’t trust them.
    - If you have a interdimensional portal in the center of your head that spews out giant robots, guitars, robot assistance and the god of space pirates, don’t market it in a circus show it seem better to live with it like nothing happening.

Hellsing - A rather good show about vampires killing other vampires. The show begins with a squad of British commandos going after a killer in the woods. when they are all killed except for the one woman with them, a mysterious organization known as Hellsing dispatches their top hunter, a strange man named Alucard (or Arucard, depending on which fan-sub you're watching). Well, shit goes down, big guns are drawn and the woman ends up a vampire. The rest of the story involes political, religious, and moral debates with undead creatures, immortal priests and, you guessed it! more big guns. very good animation, storyline and the fan-sub people seem to have done a real good job with the translation. I highly recommend d/ling it (or buying it, whichever you prefer).

GOLDEN BOY - Ahh the American Pie of anime only a lot smarter. It is a story about a law student who gives up school one week before finally getting his law degree and heads out on the road with his bike to study life. Also add to the fact that he is super horny and every adventure he gets in involves sexual situations with beautiful, big breasted women. Every woman he meets wants to fuck his brains out at the end of every episode even though he is a geek. The show is hillarious.

There's too many to review so i'll do a few and recommend watching others.

    Movies:

Spirited Away: Highly advertised lately, about a little girl who wander into a magical place with her parents who are captured. Has to find a way to free them with the help of some friends.
It was very good animation with a interesting story, but very strange at points. Mostly because it's part of a 4 book series i believe.

Princess Mononoke: A boy who gets injured from a rabid beast has to leave home on a journy to the great forest spirit, meeting a girl raised by wolves he helps her and the ppl living around her forest.
I believe this movie is from the same director as spirited away. It was pretty good with a simple story line. It's basically a classic in anime.
Others to watch: Vampire Hunter D, Kiki's Delivery Service, Inyasha the movie, Cowboy Beebop the movie, and Nausica Valley of the Winds.

    Series:

Inu Yasha: A girl from the present gets transported back in time through a magical well where a magical jewel gets broken into hundreds of peices that she has to find again with the help of a half demon dog named Inu Yasha.
It's a very funny show and has a good plot line, but can be serious at times. It's still being made in japan at the moment and has a total of 121 episodes and 2 movies that are subbed in english. Cartoon network has dubbed the first season i believe but imo it's pretty horrible. Watch most of the series before the movies.

Ranma 1/2: Made by the creator of Iny Yasha, a boy falls into a cursed spring in china which turns him into a girl, and his father into a panda, then coming home to Japan he finds he is engaged to marry. Hilarity insues.
It's a romanic comedy basically but funny none the less. Not much of a plot through the 7 seasons of it, but it doesnt need it. The two movies are good enough for plot. But watch the series before the movies.

Others to watch: Trigun, Cowboy Beebop, Rurouni Kenshin, LoveHina, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ah! My Goddess, and Reign: The Legend of Allexander the Great

These are only the one's i've watched recently and I highly recommend any of them if you want to watch any anime.

    Chobits:
aaaaah when a man falls in love with an android, what more is there for me to say it’s a romance with a pinch of sci-fi. I liked neither the manga nor the anime because I’m not a romantic, but if you are: you will fall in love all over again with this series.

    http://ibaam.virtualave.net/chobits/chob_eplist.htm

    Cowboy Bebop:
Considered one of the best modern animes! Spike is a bounty hunter that barely makes a living hunting people across the solar system, he him self is haunted by his martian mafia past and the girl he left behind. Slowly Spike prepares to awaken from his dream and end reality with a bang. Wonderful anime with great graphics and a most have soundtrack, the plot kicked ass getting philosophical at the end but not losing its realistic feel. 3,2,1 let jam!

    Crest of the Stars Saga:
Jinto was a young boy when they came to his home planet Martine, The Obh ruled over 20,000 star systems, Elf like creatures with a very feudalistic government and ~250year ageless life spans. Jinto’s father was the president of Martine and reluctantly surrendered it over having the whole planet destroyed, for his deed Jinto’s father is made king of Martine by the Obh and labeled a traitor to the human race, Jinto is shipped off into space to learn the ways of Obh nobility and take his place as his father successor. On his trip to the Obh military academy to begin his 10 years of required military service, war is declare on the Obh by the human nations, Jinto is confused: he his human but he is accepted as a Obh and he must fight against his own race. Along the way he meets a beautiful Obh princess and over time comes to love her, and though he will only live 1/3 as long as her and age he has decided to dedicated his life to serving her.
I did not think I would like this anime but instead I came to love it more then any anime I have ever seen! It lacks much melee and personal combat but the spaceship battles are the best ever! The battles are like the Hunt For Red October but in space! Most scientifically realistic space battles ever!, putting Star Trek and Star Wars to shame as fantasies! There are perils for traveling in hyperspace, ships loaded with antimatter fuel actually have the tendency to vaporized when damaged, torpedoes are the primary weapons, magnetic force fields a useless against non-matter weapons, fuel and ammo and generally fragility of the ships are major concerns.
There are 3 series to this anime each based off the 3 first books, the forth book is just out and the anime for is slated for production. The English dub version is horrible monotone don’t watch that it will cause your ears to bleed. For this I'll make Picture links:

    Dragon Ball /Z/GT:
perhaps the most famous anime saga in the world! Over 500 episodes in 3 series and countless movies, the anime even out lived the manga. If you don’t know about Dragon ball then you don’t know anything about anime. The saga goes through the life of the greatest hero in the universe (and the high dimensions as well) from is boyhood on earth as a hero and do-gooder, to his life as a adult superhero fight his super villina enemies and making super hero friends and progeny, to his life as a child again at old age (don’t ask!). I have a dislike for never-ending-anime-soap-opera like this one but DB/z/gt is just to good not to like, watching the characters develop and grow old have children even grandchildren is amazing and really connects you the series in a personal way.

    Dominion Tank Police:
the first anime I ever saw, brings back memories. Two cat girls, a biorobotics gangster and a police force that causes more damage then a pyromaniac in a matchbox factory. The original tank police series (not the new one) had a plot climax that really gets you thinking.
    http://www.honneamise.u-net.com/anime/dominion.html

    Dual!:
I can’t really say much about it is ok, giant biorobotics mechwarriors, main character has girl troubles, alien technology… it like a newer take on Evanglelion but removed the surreal nature and add in parallel dimension troubles. Basically is like Evanglelion but this time makes sense which strangle makes it mediocre.

The man speaks the truth...listen to his wise words. The sad part is so many people looking for a excellent adult (not dirty porno adult but as in mature and excellent) show would pass this up due to the fact it is an anime and more really because it is a cartoon. Too bad for them, because they are missing one hell of a show. The first time i heard of this i laughed at it's name and quickly envisioned a silly anime with exaggerated expressions and silly plots......one minute of watching..just one minute of watching this show and i was hooked.

For beginners who are skeptical i recommend Episode #12 and episode #13...it's a two part called Jupiter Jazz.

If you're new to anime and are just discovering it then DO NOT let these anime ruin your experience with anime

    ******Warning...these are exceptionally bad******
Yugioh - aviod at all costs. Uses every cliche not only of anime but of all cartoons and exploits it to new levels.

Pokemon - if you've watched one episode you've watched them all....no joke..literally..the same EXACT plot repeated over and over again every episode. Hearing the same Team rocket speech 14 times can be annoying but 250,000 times can be down right suicidal.
    ****Warning....these are exceptionally bad*******
Salior Moon - Although it is not nearly as horrible as the previous two it can be pretty boring. This is strictly for teeny bopper girls....the plot is not repreated but the way it plays it out is repeated again and again and again leading to massive boredom.

Any crap FOX shows on saturday mornings.....

    lol sailor moon...

Lots of ppl thin dbz is like pokemon and the rest, probably because they dont learn any of the story and when they see an episode all that they can remember is how this guy was grunting because he was building up power. Way too many constipation jokes when i watched dbz a while ago.

It is sad so many ppl push anime off as stupid kiddie stuff or porn because they see pokemon or advertisements on tv for hentia. It also seems hard for some ppl to overcome the different style of comedy in most anime. Though some like cowboy beebop dont have the typical comedy, ppl get turned away by trigun because he gets hit by a girl and acts different.

I think maybe some of it has to do with thinking any type of animation/cartoon is childish. Some ppl still dont watch the simpsons or king of the hill cause it's a cartoon. Anyways, i'm just ranting, dont bother me. Suggest more anime.

DBZ is hated by almost all hardcore anime fans but it is still a very popular show even though it is dead in Japan. I love the show but i have problems with it.

    1) It takes wayyyyyy to long to get anywhere. In major fights it takes them 20+ episodes to show one day.

    2) The action is almost always intereupted. Every time they are showing a excellent fight scene they'll cut away to some pointless event going on with other lesser characters...either them watching the fight and being worried.

    3) Too many flashbacks....seriously..every character has a 10 minute long flashbacks before a fight.

    4) Hercule - Kill that fucker....kil him kill him kill him

    5) After every revelation they have to show every characters reaction with them grunting or making sounds like they are being anally raped.

But the show is still amazing and a excellent watch.

Come on you have to respect Dragon ball, Dragon ball Z and Dragon ball GT, to make 500+ episodes it most have had a hell of a lot of support. the anime even out lasted the manga (which ended at DBZ) I almost broke down in tears when I watch the last episode of DBGT, it was like watching the last episode of Soap
