Not so long ago gay people were slandered as childmolesters and mentally ill. Some continue this dehumanization of gay people to this very day. Here's a much needed flashback to when being homosexual was viewed as sick and even criminal. It underscores how far we've come as a society on this issue. Even so, there is much education on this that still needs to occur. Pockets of hate-driven homophobia here and there enforced by religion and conservative hategroups. People always fear what they don't understand.

    Still like that today though.

Glad its got better though, and i am glad for feminism, as it means i do not have to bother with females. Remember there was a time like you showed when males had to have a female companion for the sake of society. I am glad males that do not have interest in females today can live there lifes free of that rubbish. Still goes on in iran and other places.

So i am glad many accept gays for what they are today.

Just glad as a male i never was interested in females, and the amount of rubbish people can claim about people is amazing. I understand its better today than before i was born, but its still not a fixed issue.

Maybe one day it will be.

Being born in 1975 i was probably born to early for the acceptance in society of different people.

Glad i lived in an era of feminism and over population, and i never had to play my part in society, that was a persons duty in the past. The world is over populated, and i am glad i will not be adding to it, and glad i was never interested in females.

No matter when anyone was born it isn't very difficult to respect others no matter what their differences might be. Respecting anyone is just common sense and should be easily "adjusted" to throughout life. Many times it isn't what we know about others differences but what we were told by others about those who are "different" than who we are.
