Do ants have muscles? What is the mechanics of their walking?

Of course they have muscles. And a brain, nervous system, heart, as well as a digestive and circulatory system.
What do you mean? Ants have an exoskeleton so the muscles attach to the inside of exoskeleton shell. The muscles contract and relax to move the exoskeleton shell. To walk the muscles pivot the exoskeleton leg parts around joints.
Why do you ask? You've never read a biology textbook?
Yes, that's what I was looking for.. thanks
Insects are ridiculously muscular. They have a LOT more muscle power than we do.
Have you ever looked at a cricket's legs? They're massive.
Animal Power Rankings:
Define "power" in this context.
Rankings from best to worst from 1-5. it is personal opinion.
Dogs- Great listeners, truly mans best friend
Sharks- They dominate the ocean
Bees- What is it? If bees go extinct man will begin to go extinct 40 days later??
Ants- Possibly the strongest animal in the world
Dolphins- The animal with the highest average IQ.
In other words nothing to do with power.
What sort of drugs are you on?
But a good attempt, nevertheless.
I think im write in every instance
So what? You think a lot of things. Few of which are even close to being right.
1) Dogs rarely listen. They might hear but they don't understand a great deal.
2) Sharks - dolphins can kill them or chase them away, Hardly "dominance".
3) Bees - not a clue as to what you're talking about. Evidence please.
4) Ants - "possibly the strongest animal in the world"? Right, so an elephant (which can lift a tree trunk) is weaker than an ant?
5) Dolphins IQ - we can't even measure the IQ of non-human animals (that's one fail), and HUMANS are the animals with the highest IQ (by definition) (second fail).
Did not realize this, but im sure it takes at least 3 or 4 dolphins to chase a shark away.
If the ant were the size of a elephant they would life much more than a tree trunk
Other than man then dolphins are probably the quickest thinking animal.
What do dogs, sharks, bees and dolphins have to do with a thread about muscles in ants?
Yeah? Evidence please.
Fail so far.
In other words you're still spouting nonsense. And 3 or 4 or not it still shows that sharks don't have "dominance".
You - If bees go extinct man will begin to go extinct 40 days later
Einstein - man would have no more than four years to live
Plus, of course, FROM THAT same link -
An ant the size of an elephant couldn't even support its own weight.
Supposition. How do show is an ape is smarter than a dolphin?
Beats me. The idoit is just trolling again.
You are a angry young man. I'll let you get back to your discussion.
Yes, please stay away.
Young? maybe if you compared him with say...a sequoia tree. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I wouldn't call him "angry"...he just doesn't suffer fools gladly, and has a low tolerance for people who post what he considers rubbish under the pretense that it's actually useful to the discussion or has any value whatsoever.

And in the end all of them are eaten by bacteria.
Now who is the powerful?
Separate names with a comma.
