That is a mighty bold statement considering you don't even know me or haven't followed anything in this thread, much less have anything to contribute to it.

See, this confuses me because I very, very rarely seen atheists deny an individual's right to believe what they want. In fact it's been my experience that atheists are usually the first in line to defend freedom of belief.

They do criticize the beliefs of others, but that doesn't violate anyone's rights. Indeed, it's them practicing their right to voice an opinion.

Maybe so, and there's nothing wrong with venting.

And that's a bold statement considering you have no idea whether I followed this thread or not. This thread has seemed to be your very own bitching session. And nothing more.

I am prejudiced against religion, it's an idea I think is harmful for society and believers. Religion doesn't get to be beyond criticism.

    Yes.

One: you're a dillhole, unable to make rational selections.

    Two: blow off.

Apparently so, however I try not to let my negative experiences with members of certain groups color my thoughts about individuals I haven't even met. While stereotypes like that might be useful at times, I find that the downside of having inaccurate preconceptions about groups and individuals outweighs the usefulness.

Are you an atheist and using yourself as an example of civil behaviour?

Let's have a look at your OP, shall we?

Without provocation or reason, you start a thread by saying that atheists as a whole are ungrateful and superficial.

    This is you being civil?

Because from the outset, you were determined to be rude and offensive with your posts, goading people for a response.

In short, most atheists have more manners than you do.

Everyday I thank God, my old friend lightgigantic et al because without them I wouldn't be the atheist I am today. I couldn't have done it without them, so I appreciate God more than you know. As for the superficial part, completely false, because I mean it in every sense of the word.

    Nope.
Is there any reason atheists should care what you think of them?
