Are left-wing politicians sacred cows on this forum?

    • Such a clumsy, pretentious con job could not possibly escape notice.
Michael started a thread about the Clinton's here:
    http://www.sciforums.com/threads/hillary-clinton-the-next-potus.152413/#post-3321534

The thread in question has been locked and cesspooled. Michael has been issued a warning for 'lying'.

I don't see any lies in the thread he started. Indeed, he cited a reputable news source to back up his claim about Hilary. Likewise, Bill Clinton's sexual escapades are public knowledge. The moderator who issued the warning labelled it a 'paranoid rant', which says far more about the biases of the individual moderating than Michael.

Can the moderation team please clarify whether left-wing politicians are immune from criticism on this forum, and whether posting anything negative about these 'paragons' is against the rules? Because it's rather disingenuous to moderate these forums with a blatant left-leaning bias without first putting such information in the rules at sign-up. After all, you'd think a science forum would be politically neutral.

    This is a science forum.

Reality has a well-known liberal bias.

Except the OP was largely fictitious and his assertions were not well documented. If you want to attack left wing politicians , do it. But you will be called on bullshit. This isn't Fox News, Breit Bart, or another form of Republican entertainment where fact and reason are not needed or wanted. This is a science forum where fact and reason matter.

Left-wing beliefs have definitely delivered a reality of forced labor camps, poverty, and ethnic cleansing.

Oh, and who told you that? Can you back those assertions with evidence and reason?

I'm fairly sure the Nazis were left-wing.

They were soooo left wing, they circled right back around again. They went past infinite left wing all the way to negative-left wing.

The nazis were the political equivalent of temperature.

Well, socialist parties tend to be left-wing, don't they now?

Right, because "socialist" was in the name that made them definitely socialist.
Just like North Korea really is a democratic republic.

Hahaha! "Socialist parties aren't left wing! Pol Pot, Mao Zedong, Stalin and Ho Chi Minh weren't leftists! Gulags didn't exist in the Soviet Union! It was the right-wing, they did all that ethnic cleansing in Cambodia! NO MORE THOUGHTCRIME! 1+1=3, SAYING OTHERWISE IS DOUBLE UNPLUS GOOD! Now let's all stop for our two-minute hate of conservative politicians, while locking any threads which criticise a liberal presidential candidate."

Mod Hat ― Closure and redirect

You even made the point↗, so when you say you don't see any lies, just what kind of con are you trying to pull?

(Apologies; I had wrongly attributed Iceaura's astute observation to you. I no longer remember just how that happened.)

Stop wasting everybody's time with this petulant nonsense.

Update 17 August 2015, 21.56: Edited for correction to misattributed link.
