M42 or the Orion Nebula The following picture is M42 or the Orion Neblua from the Ango-Austrailian Obseratory. It was first discovered by Nicholas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc in 1610. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! This is what we have to go on without the Hubble Space Telescope. There are other fine obseratories that are now on line which can give excellent photos But none seem to quite matche the Hubble.
