    the only thing starwars and bsg have in common is that the empire and bsg's fighters/bombers have no shields and they can't travel through space without some other ship carrying them to the next battle but thats it.

    Razor quit lying, SW fighters including in the Empire do have shields with the exception of the TIE fighters, and TIE Interceptors.

    The storm troopers couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, and the star destroyer is shorter than pegasus with a smaller fighter wing. Sd: 72 TIE fighters. Mercury Class Battlestar: 80 vipers and God knows how many raptors. The empire would be royally screwed if they were surprise attacked by the 12 colonies at full strength.
    The sd didn't have much of a combat record either.
