Among my favorite book titles are these two rarities: ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTAINENCE. I MAY NOT BE PERFECT BUT SOME PARTS OF ME ARE EXCELLENT. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Most of Lovecraft's titles are very bland...'The Terrible Old Man' for example. But every once in a while...a killer!!! What the Moon Brings The Night Ocean Beyond the Wall of Sleep The Colour out of Space
Steinbeck had some good titles. Of Mice and Men East of Eden Grapes of Wrath Winter of our Discontent
What about - At the Mountains of Madness The Doom That Came To Sarnath and, of course - The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath
Well aside from the first title which I mentioned several posts ago, the others dont evoke any visuals for me. I always thought Dream-Quest was too 'amorphous'...to use one of Lovecraft's favourite words.
"Rogue Trader: How I Brought Down Barings Bank And Shook The Financial World". A good title because, though apparently arrogant and naive, it's the sober truth. Nick Leeson was the young derivatives trader who racked up $1.4 billion in concealed losses causing the collapse of the oldest merchant bank, the respected Barings empire, in 1995. The book was made into the film "Rogue Trader" starring Ewan [Obi Wan] McGregor in 1999 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI86OTaKiVI). Simultaneously entertaining and appalling.
