This thread is intended to let people express the kind of music they like in movies. I guess this could be a poll if I wanted it to, but you can just divvie it up into categories.

Best rock soundtrack: The Crow

Best techno: Hackers

Best instrumental/choral: Lord of the Rings

Schwartz, if you're reading this then you're probably asking yourself a certain question. Yes, your best movie finale thread did inspire me to create this one.

Best Instrumental\techno: Fifth Element soundtrack

Good, but not the best: Armegedon soundtrack (I love Aerosmith)

hackers is a good one..

my vote would be little nicky.. except that alot of the songs from the movie are not on the actual soundtrack itself...

Natural Born Killers

Oh yeah! Anything Trent Reznor is associated with kicks ass.

i still recall the taste of your tears
echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears
my favorite dreams of you still wash ashore
scraping through my head 'til i don't want to sleep anymore

not from the Crow, Hackers and Lord of the Rings mentioned here I'd also like to add Desperado soundtrack and 13th warrior soundtrack

Hehhehehhehe.

Best Scifi: Empire Strikes Back

Best Fantasy: The Fellowship of the Ring

Best Rock etc: Vanilla Sky

"Mine! Or I will help you not!"

Best rock soundtrack: Resident Evil - purly for Rammstein

Best techno: Fifth Element

Best instrumental/choral: Platoon. Adagio of Strings by Samuel Barber is a classic piece of music

How the hell did I forget about Queen of the Damned!! It pissed me off when I found out that Jonathan Davis couldn't do the vocals on the album.

The Pulp Fiction ST was lame.
A good soundtrack was the Romeo and Juliet one.

Garbage - Nr.1 Crush
Everclear - Local God
Gavin Friday - Angel
One Inch Punch - Pretty Piece of Flesh
Des'ree - Kissing you
Butthole Surfers - Whatever
The Cardigans - Lovefool
Kym Mazelle - Young Hearts Run Free
Quindon Traver - Everybody's Free
Mundy - To You I Bestow
Radiohead - Talk Show Host
Stina Nordenstam - Little Star
The Wannadies - You and Me Song

The Mission--Morricone

Ennio Morricone, score for The Mission. (Instrumental)
Hype! (it's a rock & roll documentary; what can we expect?)
24-Hour Party People (and I'm not a fan of the movement in general; I have all of two Bauhaus songs in my library.)

Techno soundtracks don't impress me. Sometimes they're trippy, but they tend to enhance a sense of artifice to a film, and I find techno-tracked films just don't hold my interest as much.

thanx,
Tiassa

I doubt think many people seen this one, but the soundtrack to "Groove" was awesome. I think the DJ's name was Danskin or something like that. Anyhoo, the last song at the rave gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.
