Besides the fact all of the new games are fuckin awesome....
I'd have to go back to the past and say games like these were the best.

    Commander Keen
    The Incredible Machine
    Battlechess ! wwOOHH !
    and ATARI'S - Defender

that depends on wether the donkey is blindfolded aswell... it could turn into pin the human on the wall/stake/hoover/donkeyshoe/doom collectors edition dvd case. (delete as appropriate).....

I like metal gear solid... The storyline lost me until i just got brainwashed and wanted to kill more grunts... it sorta made sense the second time round though...

Airsofting is good, its not for the pc and requires some exercise, but its muchly fun

Fallout all the way. There's no games like rpgs, and there's no rpgs like Fallout.
Still waiting for the third game by Bethesda to be developed. I even got myself a copy of Morrowind to see what they could possibly plan for Fallout3. Its not that bad, if we leave aside the fact that its not Fallout.

It's not good to be obsessed with one game, because emptiness steps in, when the obsession dies.

Yah, many obsessions are far healthier than just a single one.
    Personal experience, Avatar?

    Gran Turismo.

No one who has played the game can dispute the truth.

nuttyfish, "Metal Gear Solid...2" you better be joking, mgs1 was WAY better than to. 2 made no sense, had no fun places to goof around in, and were juts plain leeching off the success of the first one(not to mention that queer rayden...or whatever his name was). if you want a ps2 mgs go with 3.

§outh§tar: "Gran Turismo." yes, undisputed champ or racing games. some may disagree and pick a less realistic/more arcade style, but its still the winner in my book.

I am sick and tired of hearing postponements for North America's GT4. I was hoping to nab it for Christmas too..

NFSU2 doesnt even come close.. I've only played it on PC though. Far Cry is not bad either, also for the PC. Been such a long time since I used my computer as any more than a learning tool.

    I have trouble chosing:

Doom: great new experiences, played it over and over. And then started making maps.

Medieval total war: I dont think i played any other game more than this.

    Tornado: best flight sim experience.

BTW, monkeyboy, M:TW beats R:TW in gameplay, the AI's lack of "skill" and/or cheating is just to much.
I have not tried the new 1.2 patch yet, because its incompatable with a mod im using, however it does not change much to the AI anyway according to the readme file.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Starcraft! I still play the game online and there are hundreds of thousands of people online at busy times. The game will run on any computer (even the old 300 MHz comps), it is free to play online and every game is different. I've also mastered it. I play compeditive ladder. The only problem with the game is that it can be hacked very easily. Many players use map hacks. I can't wait to go home and play Starcraft: Brood War online.

I also like the fact that the races are perfectly balanced and they each have strong and weak points. Everyone is usually better when playing as a certain race thoguh.

I think the best FPS is Half Life. It's obvious why.

I've been playing SimCity 2000 since I was young. I've moved forward with SimCity 3000 (my favourite) ans Sim City 4.

Does anyone remeber "Dig Dug" or "digger"? you were this machine thing that mines diamonds and level 8 was impossible. I remeber playing that off of 5 inch disks (literal floppies) on a computer known as an "XT".

Each game is different in its own way. I think one needs to be quite intelligent to master Starcraft. I like it when intellect is a factor in "who is the better player".

(I wondered how long it would take for a second person to mention simcity..)
SC3KU is also my fave, funwise....but you can make incredibly realistic cities with SC4. One guys is recreating Edmonton, to scale
