...Back to the subject. I always thought that the genes for blue and green eyes are recessive, and the gene for brown eyes is dominant. Therefore, there must've been two "mutants" who found each other attractive and mated. Am I right?

I don't think blonde works the same for men.
When I was a teenager and went through a punk phase I dyed my hair black, then bleached my hair, and quickly dyed it black again.
I'm naturally fairish, was blonde as a small child and it went brownish, and can go light in the sun.
But I've never experienced such interest from the opposite sex as I did when I had my hair dyed black, and never been so unappealing to the opposite sex as I was with bleached hair.
I'd been "ok", "cute", "7 and a half out of 10", but I became THE hot guy with black hair.
I had girls flocking around me at school, conversing with one another about my physical qualities as topics of serious discussion while I was sitting right there, girls who never noticed me before coming up to me out of the blue saying I had nice eyes, a nice tan, nice abs, nice veins in my forearms- whatever, but all of those things were the same as they had always been.
My black hair acted as a beacon luring girls in to pay attention to me.
I think platinum blonde works in the same way for women.
You see the hair and first assume "there's a hot chick".
Then you'll start noticing what great tits and what a nice ass etc.
Meanwhile mousey brown haired girl is sporting an insane ass but you just don't notice it, unless you get to know them, grow accustommed to their face, become attracted to them in the traditional organic way, etc.
But platinum blonde hair can make a girl a sex icon all the guys talk about, even if they've only seen her across the room, a girl who otherwise would have just been pretty, IF you bothered to pay attention, which you probably wouldn't have.
I've seen it happen to girls I know.
One good example is a plain girl who inexiplicably asked me out while I had boring brown hair, I turned her down because I felt her forehead was too big.
Then the next year she bleached her hair blonde and was suddenly the hottest girl ever.
Guys would say they can't imagine she defecates, and if she does, heart candies probably come out.
And ofcourse, she was suddenly out of my league.
That is, untill I dyed my hair black a few months later and then we were both hanging around the same circles having sex with beautifull people.
Although, I never did have sex with her, I still feel she was unattractive and really did have a forehead that was too big.
No one else cared, her hair was long and whispy and that almost white blonde.
Most guys don't look far past that, as long as everything else is basically in order.
It's not necessarrily something guys or girls will think to list as important, but subconsciously it's just the first thing people notice, only after ethnicity and hugely apparent flaws like morbid obesity.

H sub g would have been quite small, small enough that adaptive traits would have had to be excessively adaptive to overcome our bloated eukaryotic genome's preponderance to mutation and drift. And as a matter of fact, blue eyes are slightly deleterious, as they lack some protective pigments.
A drift argument makes more sense, since we have a pretty good idea of H sub g thousands of years ago, but really haven't much idea of what culture was like.

Both my parents have brown eyes and all of us kids have blue except for one who has green.
What if the one blue eyed mutant had children and then had children with one of those children? The one had blue eyes and the other had the recessive gene for it.

No blue eyes are recessive, it takes two alleles for them to be expressed in the phenotype.
A dominant allele will be expressed regardless of it's counterpart.
It's like this:
b is allele for blue eyes.
B is allele for brown eyes.
bb -> phenotype is blue eyes.
Bb -> phenotype is brown eyes.
BB -> phenotype is brown eyes.
So two brown-eyed persons can get a blue eyed kid.
Bb x Bb -> 25% BB, 50% Bb, 25% bb

i have natual blonde hair and natural blue eyes, one of my friends has brown hair and brown eyes, she recives far more attention from the oppasit sex than i do.
