Hello , when I'm feeling down , I like to talk about sciences to occupy my mind , taking it off the neurological desperation .

I was reading a food label earlier and it said it had 0.000621415 kilocalories of energy or something like that .

I've no idea about calories or what a constant daily intake should be , can anyone explain calories to me please ?

1 calorie is the amount of heat necessary to raise the temperature of 1 cc of water 1 degree Centigrade. Most Western adults suck down around 2000 calories a day. Most are burned up keeping things running, any excess is stored as fat.

Thank you , I like to learn new subjects to keep my mind occupied .
I think my only purpose in life is to learn until I die as it keeps me on some sort of sanity level.
I often wonder what food I'm putting into my body , their seems lots of artificial things added . I eat it regardless of that , perhaps I should be more careful of what I eat .
Thanks for the reply , I'll think of some more questions to ask .
