Then again, I love the cold and snow and rain (thunder, lightning) and fog and oh...if it was up to me I would go living in Iceland or so. Seems real cool, literally and figuratively. Why not the Far East? SE Asia, specifically - Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, maybe even Singapore. Telecoms growth is very healthy and generally the employing company pre-arranges your work permits, etc. Standard of living would be excellent with Western-level income.
Which brings me to another point, aren't drinks in Sweden damned expensive as compared to the rest of Europe?

I'm a Canadian living and working in Belo Horizonte, Brasil. Cost of living is dirt cheap, beer is 50 cents Canadian at the bars, the women are smoking hot, and it never gets cold. I love it here.

Oh..odd. I couldnt picture myself in Japan. Though i havent read much about it. Maybe i should. I hear they have sucky alcoholic beverages though (sake). Their tea rocks though. Plus, their koi ponds..and that really fast train system they have. I'd be afraid of earthquakes, godzilla, and tsunamis though.
