    Rewriting your rewrite

BB (t=0) ---> NOW ---> DURATION (current NOW) ---> AGE

    Sometimes with surprising accuracy ..

Each consequtive instant is NOW, unless. an object is destroyed in the process.
It no longer has a NOW.

    Beg to differ

You end with TIME (which I contend it is not)

Mine ends in AGE (which I contend it is)

TIME and AGE are not the same

Michael 345 said: “Only NOW exist”

Yes, but now it is not spontaneous. Now is the consequence of a succession of moments.

A succession of moments it is not

    That is a film

NOW is not stop / start

A succession of moments equals stop / start which equates to a succession of ages

NOW is not a succession of ages

Age is not time and it certainly is not NOW

The images in the film are discontinuous. Time is the continuous succession of moments.

Time is a variable result of duration of existence or action. Non-existent things or non-causal conditions are exempt from measurement of duration and do not have associated time-lines.

In the cinematography an illusion of the movement is created by the discreet succession of images. In time the term rest does not fit.

In cinematography the illusion of movement is produced by persistence of vision

This holds the image long enough in the eye for the next image, which has minimal changes, to be imposed creating illusion of movement

Slow the movie down enough and you will see each frame as a still

    NOW does not have frames

Persistence of vision is not required to visualise movement when looking at the real world NOW

In cinematography, nowa are artificial and repeatable. In the temporal reality, nows are unrepeatable and irreversible.

Of course YOU who experience the NOW, but only in YOUR mind. My NOW is different than yur NOW, relatively speaking.

In any case we never experience the real NOW,
because everything we observe is already in the PAST.

Your NOW happens exactly as mine does

    Only the place is different

Think body is in lock step with my mind

I'm fairly certain I have never experienced a fake now

Again the NOW happening on the TV is in lock step with my NOW only at a different place, a few metres away

My son is writing my Birthday Card NOW

Just because I won't know about it until later does not mean he is writing it at a different NOW

A super super observer far enough away can observe my son writing my card, my TV set and me and would see us at different places but in the same NOW

everything we observe is already in the PAST

    True

And I was there with everything at the same NOW

    Nooooo

    Different places exist

Are you referring to your statement below

everything we observe is already in the PAST

I'll try to break it down further

Only NOW exist (my rock solid foundation of understanding)

My son writing my Birthday Card is doing it NOW
My TV is sending out light waves NOW
My eye is receiving the light waves NOW
My brain is deciding if I like the program or should I change channel and look for another program NOW
My body is relaxing on the lounge NOW

NONE of the above can happen
    • in the past or
    • in the future
    • can only happen NOW
ALL of the above will not exist in the past

NONE of the above can exist in the future
