This is an issue of semantics - specifically involving the word 'exist'. Arguably, the past does not exist. Arguably it does exist. Both are true - from the right perspectives. And you each have your own perspective. There is no point in arguing it further.
An edition. Time and duration are synonyms; and they are defined like (1) the interval between two sequential moments, (2) the permanence of things in reality. Thus, the becoming-duration duality is becoming-time too. Becoming is the inherent property of matter and bodies to experience changes. The becoming-time duality explains existence.
