    A pet DEPENDS on you for food, shelter, and cleanliness. It gives you something to fully take care of, do you see? Much like a baby, who also needs to sleep, eat, and shit, and you take care of all that. But it's not really a baby, it doesn't shit in random places and doesn't yell for hours. It's an animal, with emotions, thoughts, and language, who is very grateful for the things you do for it, and who loves you very much.

    I think I'm a cat person in the stereotypical way, in that my affection is hard to get, I often hide my feelings, and I've been told I'm manipulative. I also sleep a lot, and do take ages getting dressed up sometimes.
