As Dave has said, it out performs all other current engines, unless of course you are party to some more advanced mode particularly escaping Earth's gravity...
    I'll wait for a citation.

This thread is about existing, usable technology for today's missions, not advanced, future, unproven or speculative technology. And, while we're at it, not about alien technology.

Note that one of the primary criteria is: has a track record of reliability and success.

    Let's stay on-topic.

"The most advanced technology we have" is, by definition, not "primitive".

It's easy to say "they should use pixie dust!" But we have what we have.

I know where this is going. To the Land of Woo. I'm not going to play.

As you have been told a 100 times riv, all theories, inventions and the thinking about them, etc were at one time outside the box: The successful ones became accepted mainstream and the rest remain as dreams.

What observation shows that traditional science has grown out of traditional science.

Most find me humouress, give me proof .

River, you are entitled to share your views on alternate technologies in the appropriate forum, but this is a hard science forum.
It is not the appropriate place for this line of discussion.

Please start your own thread in one of the speculative forums where you can discuss your ideas.

To post here is defined as trolling, since its intent is to derail the topic of the thread.

Why not think outside the box? Just say "I wish I was on the Moon" and click your heels together three times. So much more advanced than anti-gravity.
