So will those with no emotional ties to either Party.

The discomfort among the majority is from the discovery that more than a quarter of the US population is willing to throw away its system of government rather than concede that the right side won the Civil War.

And it won't be just days. The Wingnut Panic after Obama's first election lasted for months - maybe never ended. This time around Walmart pulled the guns and ammo off its shelves in advance, so we have been spared the sight of grown-ass men losing their shit in public over fantasies that would embarrass a twelve year old bedwetter, but those guys didn't go anywhere or learn anything.

It's a bad scene. The fascist takeover of the Republican Party has done a hell of a lot of damage to this country, and it's setting up to do more - Biden probably won't be able to do much about that.

Not just that. Once out of Office he becomes vulnerable to legal action. As President he was shielded from that, but now he becomes exposed and accountable for all his misdeeds committed while in office and prior to becoming President.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Wednesday his state will conduct a manual hand recount of all ballots cast in the presidential race in the state, as he faces growing pressure from fellow Georgia Republicans over unsubstantiated accusations of voting irregularities and mismanagement of the state's elections.

So, even though no irregularities have come to light at all, Raffensperger is kowtowing to the Republican Campaign for a hand recount, even thought Biden's lead over Trump is more than 14,000 votes and getting wider.

Yep. Trump has threatened to go after the Georgia Senate candidates unless he gets his way.

This will only backfire for Trump. There is no realistic chance that such a huge lead will be reversed by an audit or recount. When the hand audits and recounts are completed and the results are the same, there will be even less room for Trump to claim that the results are invalid. It would be a more effective strategy for Trump to continue to claim fraud while quietly discouraging the audits and recounts that will eventually refute his claims. But he's not playing 4-dimensional chess here, he's just sort of throwing a fit and doing random stuff.

    Edit:
This lack of forethought is also visible in his threats to go after the GA senate candidates; if he thought it through a little more, it might occur to him that a Democrat majority in the senate could cause him a VERY uncomfortable January.

Doubt it it would affect his January..

He isn't actually doing anything in regards to governing ..

My understanding is that state law requires a recount if the margin is less than a certain percent (I don't recall the number). He is now kowtowing, just following the law.
The senate candidates are probably annoyed because they have to face a run-off (Georgia law).

The lead for Biden over Trump in Georgia has now topped 14,000 votes.

Wow. If it gets to 24,000 there's no mandatory recount. But the recount has been announced already so that's probably happening.

It seems that if a candidate requests a recount the candidate must pay for the recount.
If, then the vote has changed, the money will be refunded.

    With other people's money, sure.
McConnell's wife knows people who would pay for a Trump effort to sabotage the US Federal government - and there are always the Russians and Saudis and Central Asians and so forth.
