I've been toying with the idea of creating a second account, an internet "alter-ego" if you will. Sometimes I just really need to have a good argument, and because I'm so inferior to everyone on here, I need a good, dumbass strawman to beat up on. That way I can win the argument and spend the rest of the day high on my own sense of self-satisfaction. Nobody ever does that around here...

Well it wasn't at the beginning, but once I seen the numbers go south. I said what the hell I need some fun. I sure had my fun too, but now I know we might have another inadequate and arbitrary mod to deal with...woo-hoo for half-assed democracy! Damn where's Plato when you need him?

I think coffee is a good moderator and will complement goofy well. I think sarge and myself are also well qualified to be moderators, but since coffee wants it, I defer to him as I would only really want it to keep it out of the hands of those I think are unqualified.

The first thing I'm going to do, when I get my new powers, is post a poll on what everyone thinks the main problems in WE&P are. Then we're going to talk about how to resolve those problems. Also, I'll be leading an inquiry into this whole WMD debacle.

 

Any decent dictator must have a Ministry of Information, or more likely a Ministry of Dis-Information. Can I nominate myself for this post? I promise to use all the compassion of the Stasi in quelling any insurgencies against you Coffee.

I'm suddenly reminded of Pat Buchanan, 15, but in a good way.

On CNN one time, in December, 2000, or perhaps in January, '01, said on Gore's behalf, "Well all I can tell you is that a bunch of Jews in Florida did not vote for me."

I admit, it's one of the funniest and keenest and fairest points I've ever heard him make, but the only link is that the observation is about voting.
