Hey guys, Im just wondering who sings the Enterprise theme in the commericial for the show it starts out "So lately been wonderin who will be there to take my place, when im gone...." You get the point, who sings that? I got it of of aimster but it didnt say who sung it just what it was. Can anyone help?
Im not refurring to the theme song faith of the heart, im talking about the one that they used in the commercial for the show, read the post just dont reply to the title.
Nope, I didn't write the Star Trek theme for "Enterprise". At risk of pissing folks off, I think the theme for "Enterprise" sucks big time. Other than the song being totally lame, I think the show is good thus far.
I think the Startrek theme songs (generally) are wery good. They are wery appropriate to Startrek series... noble, peaceful and proud. I like the DS9´s theme song most.
Thanks now i know! So why dont ya'll like the theme song to enterprise? My favoritie theme song to a scifi show has been farscape, it just sounds so weird and it fits the show perfectly!
Unregistered Oh, you wanna know who sings Wherever You Will Go? It's in the album Camino Palmero. Wherever You Will Go is not actually the Enterprise opening theme song, it's Faith Of The Heart by Russel Watson.
Hey Magnum I was refurring to the theme song used in the commercial for enterprise not the theme song, i know the theme song is faith of the heart. Read the first post before you respond to something. Well other then that I would like to know everyones favorite SCIFI theme song. Top 5, top 20 the best you name I want to know what you think. MIne are Babylon5 season 5 Farscape Stargate ENTERPRISE yes I like the song so what? Buffy the vampire slayer.
Coffee I agree farscape and enterprise have awesome theme songs. A LOT better than the tradtinal contemporary music shows usually have. I read all the posts and still don't see who sings the song calling? oh yea... 1.) Farscape >>>> Best theme songs 2.) Enterprise ... and the rest are lame I think..
The Calling - Wherever You Will Go So lately, been wondering Who will be there to take my place When I'm gone you'll need love To light the shadows on your face If a great wave shall fall and fall upon us all Then between the sand and stone Could you make it on your own If I could, then I would I'll go wherever you will go Way up high or down low I'll go wherever you will go And maybe, I'll find out A way to make it back someday To watch you, to guide you Through the darkest of your days If a great wave shall fall and fall upon us all Then I hope there's someone out there Who can bring me back to you If I could, then I would I'll go wherever you will go Way up high or down low I'll go wherever you will go Run away with my heart Run away with my hope Run away with my love I know now, just quite how My life and love might still go on In your heart, in your mind I'll stay with you for all of time If I could, then I would I'll go wherever you will go Way up high or down low I'll go wherever you will go If I could turn back time I'll go wherever you will go If I could make you mine I'll go wherever you will go I'll go wherever you will go
Russel Watson renamed the theme Russel Watson renamed the theme to Enterprise. It is now called " Wherever My Heart will Take Me " Does anyone know who sang it originally? I don't think it's Rod Stewart. I went to a site that showed all of his CD's and I could not find " Faith of the Heart " listed anywhere as a song title. Please e-mail me directly at this e-mail address if you know. photoguitarist2@juno.com Thank You
It was Rod Stewart. It was originally on the Soundtrack "Patch Adams" "Faith Of the Heart was written by Diane Warren and performed by Rod Stewart. Soundtrack Album: Patch Adams Soundtrack album from Tom Shadyac's 1998 comedy Patch Adams starring Robin Williams. Song included on the Soundtrack: Faith Of The Heart Let It Rain Only You Know & I Know Carry On Bell Bottom Blues Good Lovin' The Weight People Got To Be Free Stand Main Title Look Byond The Fingers Childrens' Ward Ranch Reveal Hello Speech/children's Reprise Front Porch Butterfly/noodle Pool The Ruling/graduation Soundtrack Album - Patch Adams - 1998 - Uni/Mca/Universal Records 53245
Russel Watson renamed the theme Also, although the song " Where My Heart will Take Me " is available in the UK at this time, it will not be available until February of 2002 in America. "An extended version of the Enterprise theme "Faith of the Heart" is available on Russel Watson's new album "Encore". The song is renamed "Where the Heart Will Take Me" for the album. The album is currently out in the United Kingdom and will be making its North American debut in February 2002. There is also an intention to record a video of "Where the Heart Will Take Me" and release it as a single."
Absolutly horrid song I have to say, when I first heard the Enterprise theme song I almost fell over laughing. It's the most pathetic Star Trek theme I've heard yet. What can I say? I hate it. They should have stuck with something like Voyager and DS9's openers.
Enterprise Theme In order to continue to grow and connect with people and the world, I like to keep an open mind about issues, even though I certainly have my own opinion on things. In keeping with this, I can understand how some people aren't happy with the theme chosen for the newest Star Trek saga, Enterprise and that is certainly their prerogative. However, my personal opinion is that, even though the song itself isn't new, it gives a fresh sound to the show. It also reflects Captain Archer's yearning to become a space pioneer and his achievement of that dream. Even more importantly, it is relevant to this day and age when many of us covet that same dream of reaching beyond our world to expand our connection with the cosmos. The words of the song can be applied to something small or big, depending on who you are, what your dream is, and what you seek to achieve. Let's have a little tolerance, folks. It's a great song by a talented, versatile artist (who I found out is a tenor and records classical music as well!). Bottom line is, we have yet another Star Trek series and Gene Roddenberry's dream lives on. So let's not be petty and squabble about the theme song. Instead, let's keep ourselves united in the true spirit of Trek.
I Agree with MaryCandie!! This is how I feel about the song all along. The words fit the premise of this show and what it stands for. ---MATT
True, they did choose a very fitting song to the show. But it doesn't change the fact that they went all out and completely redid the intro from the classic Star Trek theme we have all come to recognize and enjoy to just another song you hear on the radio sometimes. I thought it really took away from the show, but hey, I'm just one person Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
