Yo, those are so cool! To tell you the truth, I really never thought about these things (or they never actually popped up). But one of them I do know: They have a bunch of dogs, and they place bowls of the new food in front of their faces. If they eat it and don't horribly mutate within the next 48 hours, the scientists slap a "New and Improved" label on the dog food and ship it off immediately.
