    Like that's an easy call . . . .

Some depressing songs, in random order:

"Kiss Me Hello" - Tommy Shaw
"Reach For the Bottle" - Tommy Shaw
    "Safety" - Floater
    "Bottle" - Floater
    "Possum's Funeral" - Floater
"When They Ring the Golden Bells" - Natalie Merchant
"Twist in My Sobriety" - Tanita Tikaram
"I'm Going Home" - Tanita Tikaram
"If I Go Away" - Savatage
"Small Dark Movie" - Greg Brown
    "Empty Garden" - Elton John
"Jamie Across the Water" - Boiled in Lead
    "Release" - Pearl Jam
"Pray Your Gods" - Toad the Wet Sprocket
"Before You Were Born" - Toad the Wet Sprocket
    "Tomorrow, Wendy" - Concrete Blonde
"Walking in the Woods" - The Pursuit of Happiness
"On Earth As It Is In Heaven" - Ennio Morricone
"Ave Maria Guarani" - Ennio Morrcone
"All Night Thing" - Temple of the Dog
"Say Hello 2 Heaven" - Temple of the Dog
"Come On Now Inside" - Izzy Stradlin & Ju Ju Hounds
"Marx and Engels" - Belle & Sebastian
"You Made Me Forget My Dreams" - Belle & Sebastian

Just a few as I wander through my library. On the flip-side, of course, is the idea of catharsis songs; Savatage's "Heal My Soul" and "Believe", for instance; Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time"; Duran Duran's "Ordinary World"; Jane Siberry's "It Can't Rain All the Time"; Peter Gabriel's "Secret World"; Twisted Sister's "I Believe In You"; &c, &c. But those are for another topic.

I could definitely sit back and download some of these songs
    for my kick back leisure.
I'll go get my cup of hot tea, turn up my speakers.....listen.
Now all I need is someone's shoulder to cry on when I play them.
(sniff) I'm going to have to steal yours, Guyute!

    Creep- Radiohead.
Then there are occasional hits that have managed to make me sad or endorse a sadness that was already there, but I don't recall their names.

I'll come back and add more in later, but i just had to put this one up.

    Kom susser todd.
I don't know who it's by, but you have to hear it. We have decided it is officially one of the most depressing songs known to mankind. The strange thing is that the music isn't really all that depressing sounding. Its kinda poppy, almost slightly upbeat. But, if you pay attention to the lyrics, its one of those songs that you wind up listening to over and over again. After about an hour you are left with this feeling...like you just wan tot die, but that wouldn't fix anythign either. LIke everythign is completely pointless. You have to hear it.
