Wahoo! I love depressing songs, but I am noticing a distinct lack of Tori Amos on this thread... strange.

Hey Jupiter might just be one of the most depressing songs ever written, "No one's picking up the phone, cause it's me."
    Jackies Strength - pretty sad.
    Winter
    Spark
    Marry Anne
    Putting the Damage On
I Don't Like Mondays (Tell Me Why) - Both versions are sad, but Tori makes it a little creepy and the Boomtown Rats kind of ruin their own song after your heard the Tori Amos version
    Crucify
Don't Make Me Come To Vagas
    Cornflake Girl
Landslide - Tori, the Smashing Pumkins and Stevie Nicks versions (Dixie Chicks destroyed it)

    Other than Tori Amos
    Lake of Fire - Nirvana
    Anything by Radiohead
Sorry Is the Hardest Word - Elton John

I have a bunch more, but I would have to open up iTunes for the complete list

I signed up just to respond to this post! I started a thread on another bulletin board asking what some of the most depressing songs were, and then decided to do a search of my own. I never in a million years would have imagined someone starting their list with 2 Tommy Shaw solo songs! Dang...I take it you're a fan. LOL

    cancer; My chemical romance

    Turn away
If you could get me a drink, of water
'cause my lips are chapped and faded
    call my aunt marie
help her gather all my things
and bury me in all my favorite colors
my sisters and my brothers still
    I will not kiss you
'cause the hardest part of this
    is leaving you

    Now turn away
'cause i'm awful just to see
'cause all my hairs abandoned all my body
    oh my agony
know that i will never marry
baby i'm just soggy from the chemo
but counting down the days to go
    It just ain't living
And I just hope you know
    that if you say
    goodbye today
I'd ask you to be true
'cause the hardest part of this is leaving you
'cause the hardest part of this is leaving you
