    Keeping it basic.
The Haunting - The original with Claire Bloome, Julie Harris and Russ Tamblyn. I forget the technical stuff and enjoy the creepiness of it.
Bell, Book, and Candle. - Kim Novak as a provocative bohemian witch in the village is a great couter balance in the era of June Cleavers.
Picnic at Hanging Rock - Australian school for girls goes awry after a St. Valentine's Day outing. It even comes with a Zamfir soundtrack, ( eerie score and suits the mood of the film perfectly).
La Belle et une Bete - It's champagne and whipped cream. A dark frothy fairy tale that sparkles.
And last but not least is..."Burn Witch Burn" Witchcraft among academic rivals! Well made, and if I recall a Robert Bloch screenplay.

In no particular order, a smattering of my favourite movies of all time, no means meant to be all inclusive:

    Sword of Doom
    Lost and Delirious
    Birth
    Yojimbo
The Star Wars saga (6 films)
    House of Flying Daggers
    American History X
    Dumb and Dumber
    What Dreams May Come
    Taboo
    Arcadia of my Youth
    Whisper of the Heart
    Mary Poppins
    Conan the Barbarian and Destroyer
    Gone with the Wind
    We Were Soldiers
    Out of Africa
    The Talented Mr. Ripley
    The Breakfast Club

As you can see, my tastes are a bit diverse. And this is not getting into things fully, mind you.

I forgot the Titans, but I do know that there seems to be an upsurge in the amount of "inspirational" sports films coming out now.

    Sorry.

Mothman. I remember that movie not being quite as good as the book, but I give it applause for even existing. Hollywood tries, but I just wish they had included the pale MIB characters. Or maybe a few other things. It's been awhile since I saw that.

Do you mean, the DEER HUNTER, as in, the film in which Christopher Walken won some kind of prestigious award?!?!

Pretty good movie, but it's been a while since I seen it.

"Ah, I was hoping someone would've mentioned a Ghibli. Have you seen memories dance?"

I have not, no, but thank you for giving me something to purcahse and/or download! I find Ghibli films to hold a certain magic to them. I recently was able to catch a slew of them uneditted and uncut (in both English dub and Japanese subtitled original releases) on Turner Classic Movies, including some, like Pom-Poko, that I was never able to catch before. I was only upset that "Whisper of the Heart" was altered in the beautiful ending a bit, so as to not offend Western sensibilities in the dub.

Have you ever seen any of Leiji Matsumoto's works? He is my favourite anime and manga creator.
