The first game system my dad brought us for Christmas was a Pong clone. Me and my brother saved for half the year for the light gun attachment. We spent endless hours shooting a white blob on an old black and white TV way back in 1978.

Then we got a Atari VCS Christmas 1981. I saved up and bought Asteroids. Still vividly remember the trip into town to the games store. Then what seemed like an endless journey home, eager to play. Guess that was the first real game I bought with my own money.

We had asteroids as well. I can even remember the sound it made.
When I hear it, it takes me right back to sitting on the floor in front of the black and white TV complaining it was too hard to play.

I got a Nintendo Gamecube and it came with MarioKart Double Dash. I can't remember if I got Super Mario Sunshine or MegaMan Network Transmission as my first game.

Within days of getting the game I could play so well that the competitions where to see how many time we could clock the score. Cant remember if it was 9999 or 99999.
OMG its been so many years since I clocked a game. Well the last game, at 42years old, I purchased was LEGO Starwars for the XBOX360. Its only about how old you feel...

The first game i played was doom. From there i went to most ID games, Heretic, etc. At the time i was playing them mostly at work. From there I played some interactive games, one was a cool detective game that went to a lot of cut scenes that were actual actors. Then i played this game where a german guy turns into a warewolf. Cant even remember the names off hand of those games i mentioned.

Ah Doom, the memories. I loved Doom 2 and Final DOom with the double barrel. The last time I played the Doom series was years ago when the zDoom engine came out. I went on a two week Final Doom rampage.

LOL! Yeah, didn't take long for me to find Quake2. Quake turned me into a junkie for about 5 years.

I can't remember what it was, but it was something for the Atari 2600 in the 80s.

The first game I bought for myself, it was either Dead or Alive 3 for Xbox or the Sims 2 nightlife bonus pack.
