OK. Soccer (association football) is the original game.
    Any takers?

Well actually....my grandmother won a journey to Japan and the Fifa World Championship in soccer or football or whatever you want to call the meaningless occupation of kicking around a piece of skin from a dead animal.
And it´s for sale. It´s for two people with luxurious hotel, all meals, sighseeings and two games: Italy- Kroatia and Sweden-Argentina.
The highest bid is now at 50.000 USD so contact me if you are one of the morons that enjoy this ..."sport" .

Don't you play on an oval pitch??
Doesn't that make it difficult to take corners?!?

Its a shame that liverpool got knocked out in the Champions League, It would have been an excellent game in the semi-final.

Don't they have lots of posts as well? If you can carry the ball, its not as skillful as kicking it? (you can carry the ball in Aussie rules, can't you???)

There are no corners, Yes you can carrie the ball but only for 20m without bouncing it (want skill try THAT with our ball)

And were not wimps like those Ameriacans. No protection

It seams a bit daft wearing all that protective gear. surely it slows you down and therefore the game?

Thats why its not worn in REAL football (plus the more protection you wear, the more you need to wear to protect you form the protction)

    Max protection for Aussie rules

    Mouth guard
soft helmet (its made of fome)
and in the AFL they can wear gloves (no gloves in local games)

    REALLY?

    you don't wear mouthguards?

    You idiots

Oh well the denists will be happy

have you seen the damage an acidental elbow can do?

This is the ONLY peice of protection insited upon (the rest are personal preferance)

I've seen Aussie football - very tight shorts & no arms on their shirts.

My team (Reading) qualified yesterday for Division 1 - bastards waited until the last game of the season to guarantee qualification!

I love football - a recent convert as my little brother took me to see my first game only 3 years ago.

I still find it difficult to see why American Football is called 'Football' at all, as they mainly seem to run with, or throw the ball... And why do they need sooo much padding? You don't see that in Rugby.

I think all Americans should be forced to watch a game of Aussie rules football. They'd see what REAL football is about.

Well done. Although i am sure that if Bristol Rovers spent £40 million we would get promoted to div 1.

Do you like Jamie Cuerton? He was a good player for Rovers but we sold him cheap as he got the managers daughter pregnant or something.... ( all rumors)
