Has anyone ever read/watched Gormenghast? It was originally a book by Mervyn Peake, and is really quite different as far as books go. It was made into a movie a while back by BBC. I loaned Cactus the movie today, and being the movie nut that he is, he ought to be able to give it a good assessment. It starred what's-his-name (the guy who plays Saruman and Dooku, forget name) as Mr. Flay, and it's the only time I have seen him play the role of a good guy.

It is insanely crazy but at the same time appealing. It really draws you in and makes you wanna keep watching. AND REALLY GOOD ACTING.
