How are American and Canadians members here getting by with the very harsh weather conditions there? Good luck to all.
I hear that around Ontario they have a forecast for +8 degrees for next Friday. I was told on another site that some roads are still blocked and that the internet has been down. My correspondent took 3.5 hours to dig and snow blow himself out of his house.
Toronto here. Meh. I broke down and put on boots for the day but now I'm back to my deck shoes. Nowhere near bad enough for socks, let alone a hat or - what are those things? Oh. Gloves. Of course, 50km east of here 250km of TransCanada Highway is completely shut down...
I have lived in Saskatchewan for 70 years and I remember waaay worse winters. Of course you know how old people are. Today, when they talk about "white-outs" they mean, "Ooh! I see something white!" - e.g. a snowflake. In MY day, white-out meant you couldn't see the house across the street.
You mean you had gruel in yer breakfast bowl?! Looxury! We 'ad roosty nails, if we were loocky.....etc..........
