I've been thrown from a horse head over heels, luckily landing on my most fleshy part of my anatomy...... Dogs, love em...have had a Labrador, German Shepard, two Rottweillers, and now two miniature smooth haired Dachsunds, one red, one black and tan... Read plenty of Sci/Fi and Sci/Fact.......but alas!!!!! not into sewing and/or knitting [Couldn't even sow a button on my shirt without stabbing myself at least three times with the bloody needle! Welcome anyway! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Just actually met a friend of a friend that bred smooth haired miniature Dachsunds, and my last Rotty died aged at 13.5 years [good age for that breed and size of dog] They just impressed me as a good lively intelligent mate to have around. [as are most dogs if treated with plenty of TLC and as one of the family more then a pet]
And they make good bed buddies if one should be at odds with ones Mrs...great feet warmers under the dooner! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Two Lhasa Apsos. I used to do needlepoint when I was younger, but now with trifocals it's too difficult.
I have a malamute and during summer time I brush him and I have collected perhaps 2 Lb of hair . I understand some people use dog or cat hair and knit into an object ? are you familiar with any one who does that ?
A friend of mine who had a Samoyed spun it blended with wool. Makes a very fluffy knitted jersey. Smells a bit doggy when it gets wet, but this will fade with washing.
