    Um... condensation?

    Needed for condensation to occur:
    -- air must be saturated (cooled to dew point)
    -- surface to condense on - condensation nuclei (dust, smoke etc.)

    Rising air cools adiabatically (temperature change without heat transfer) due to expansion. Once the condensation level is reached, clouds form.

    massive heat wave

    in sf right now. threatening our lives. people here have no air conditioning - never needed it before. our weather looks like this: two days normal weather - windy, overcast, very cool. the other 5 building into heat waves. right now there is no wind which happens each week. but actually slight wind blowing off shore. us army puhleeze give the satelites a rest - the operation is supposed to be secret. but if you overuse your toy - help...
