Yep, used to be drawn to me like magnets when I took public transit. I drive everywhere now. Actually you need to develop the ability to look through people rather than make eye contact, unless you want to see the person, and change direction quickly and proceed down a different aisle, if you are being followed in a store, to avoid the certain individual. Failing this you could tell them in a firm but not nasty tone to stop bothering you. Cross the street quickly or walk into a building like that is where you intended to go. I have done all these things and they do work. You don't have to go out of your way to be nice to everyone. Trust your instincts. One of these people may intend to do you harm. Some people need to be told that their behavior is inappropriate and unwanted.
