    The Blackadder solution: KILL EVERYONE!

Everyone dead = no more weirdos.

I can't believe nobody's proposed the simple solution before now.

M*W: People are attracted to other people when a part of their self-esteem has been injured. Needy people are always attracted to people full of life and spirit (let's call it having a positive attitude).

But to answer your question as to how to get rid of these needy folks who at the very least will steal your time if not more. You can ignore them, but that's not what they want. They want a piece of your soul, because they have somehow lost theirs. Me, I would probably listen to them, because I know they cannot destroy me unless I let them. I look at it as an opportunity to give them a little of my psychic (as in psyche) energy. It is always replaced in those of us who have it, and it is always longed for by people who don't. If you really want to scare them off, start preaching like a holy roller, lay hands on them, tell them to get down on their knees so you can heal them. This should send them running to the next friendly soul.

Although I understand your aggrevation, I look at it as a message to me from the universe. I've come across some really strange people in my day, but each and everyone of them taught me a lesson in life, even though sometimes I didn't learn it until a long time passed. Try to think of it more like what they will give to you rather than what they're gonna take from you.

That's just my philosophy, for what it's worth.

I think of it as a type of psychic survival. We tend to find those people who can replace in us what we don't have. There will always be emotionally needy people, but fortunately, there will also be a few of us left who look on the bright side.

I think I would rather deal with crazy people than with people who complain every day about their lives. They can suck the life out of a person. They want everyone to be as miserable as they are.

I have no idea and even if I did live in the same town as she does, she wouldn't want me. I am a student completely dependent on parents, full day of school...got no job.

    Idea:

Have a search on the internet for Cosmetic effects, the sort used in films. Get yourself some make-up to apply that makes you look like you have some incredibly contagious disease and that if they come into proximity you'll be only too happy to share it with them (Just remember to include exotic disorders to the list of things that you've 'Recently seen my GP about'. Just make sure the make-up you get can easily be removed, then you can go out of your house looking like your limbs are going to drop off rotting with leprosy and just walk into a 'powder room' and clean it all off.

Admittedly, you could have fun scaring family members and boyfriend with your new found diseases, although this may backfire.

Act weirder and crazier than them?

Actually I don't know. I am generally a sympathetic listener and am interested people who are a bit odd so the same sort of thing happens to me sometimes. I just try to glare in a mean kind of way and not talk back when someone like that approaches me.
