HTML links aren't highlighted

When I put in a hyperlink like this one, it appears as normal text. I only see that it's clickable when I mouse over it. But it's not reasonable for readers to have to mouse over every word to find the links. The string "this one" is clickable but unless I mouse over it, it looks exactly the same as the surrounding text.

Is this a rendering problem at my end? Chrome on Snow Leopard here.

Also the same problem in Firefox.

No, the issue is the forum code - usually, a URL is turned blue or highlighted... for some reason, this XenForo software doesn't do that.

I tend to just underline the hyperlinks. The previous software showed all hyperlinks in a different coloured text. The current software does not.
