Is my Chinese and Japanese even displaying for the rest of y'all? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! EDIT: Woot! First post on page fifteen!
Yup, showing, but no clue. I couldn't even identify the script... Chinese at a guess, but kanji, hirgana or katakana I'd believe. I can't even remember the kanji I have tattooed on my left shoulder blade (although I do know what it says).
The last thing I said was in Japanese. Everything else I said before that post is in Chinese. You can tell the difference if you know that Japanese tends to have "thinner" characters — that's to say, they have more characters that are only a few strokes, as opposed to kanji and to those in Chinese — and these characters are hiragana and katakana.
私は英語とドイツ語話します。 = I speak English and German. Nice. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Yeah. I just Babelfished it and took a chance on Japanese. I used two friends who were learning Japanese (big anime fans) so I told them what I wanted as a tattoo and they spent a week with all the dictionaries they could find. Just to make sure that none of the possible translations were "Eat at Joe's", since the wrtitten language is so dependant on context and other words in the sentence.... They both read Japanese and get annoyed when I reply to their conversations, since they both paid big money for lessons and I picked it up listening to them. Babelfish says it's "The woman is not the hemp". Sounds logical to me, since they're two different things.
Good job, you recognize "女人"! I see you can also sorta figure out "是". But it's not what women are, it's what women aren't. Figure out the last two characters (hint: It's one word), and you'll probably get it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You beat me to it. And no fair, you're using Babelfish. It's "Women are not marijuana". So you pretty much got it.
Well if it's not English, French, (or a similar word in Italian or Spanish), German, or less likely - Russian, Welsh or spoken Japanese I don't have clue (apart the swear word in few other languages). So I had to Babelfish it...
Well then you shouldn't have gotten it at all. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I was waiting to see if someone who knew at least some Chinese would see it and go, "Hey, that says blah blah blah".
Consider me chastised. I won't cheat again. Amd certainly not for a while - it's 4:30 in the morning here and I'm about to get my head down. Catch you later guys...
