An old drunk bumbled up to me and muttered, "Y'can't disprove my existence... I stink, therefore I am... because I can perceive the incoming stench, I know there's something processing and something generatin' stench... namely ME!" I agreed with him on the last point but told him all others were unthorough.
It's the self-referential fallacy... but an understandable one. What else would an autonomous temporal entity use for comparison? Give a drunken wino a break.
