They think that shopwing a sign on the Today Show is a 'strike against the man'... when really it is just the today show, and nobody gives a damn.
So much for getting a life?! I like how these Protest Warriors inflate the power of the left in order to give themselves some sense of cause. How many people tell leftist protesters who dislike globalism, President Bush, and warfare to "Get a life!" What about these guys? They're wasting their lives protesting against people widely held to be in need of a life. In other words, thank you, Protest Warriors. In addition to being a ridiculous sideshow, you're giving the anti-war movement even more power by acknowledging its potential threat to American-based world hegemony. (Like their infiltration of the high schools ... provocateurs with a testosterone rush and even sillier names for their actions than I'm inventing for my half-assed battle with gophers. This kid takes the prize. He may be geeky enough to never reproduce, as I don't think he would be able to look his kids in the eye in twenty years over this one--"Yeah, son ... Hats off to Protest Warriors: Not only are you enhancing America's public debate, but are also helping to legitimize activism in the minds of people in many stodgy camps generally on the right. Many Americans scoff at any public political expression, and it's a dangerous attitude for democracy. I may be on the other side, but activists of every stripe are helping to shake things up and get America off it's ass, which of increasing and vital importance to the future of our country. Cheers! Yes that is wrong read the rules 3 and 5. And if you want the bitch about it I'll update the rules to be very specific on what insulting language. Calling people “sheeple” or “amerikan” just because you think there brainwashed or moronic its insulting, not only to the people the may rightly disserve it but also to the people that have been grossly generalized under that title of yours. Using such wording will promote hatred and stereotyping here and thus is wrong.

Kunax, sorry, but I agree with the mod this time. There's more intelligent ways of expressing the same ideas although they are both less convenient and not nearly as humorous.
just to correct any misunderstanding that might be, i dont think people should be allow to outright insult other people, but light taunting and making fun is ok.
But I do agree with you that Americans tend to ... let the media and government get away with a hell of a lot more than people in other parts of the world do. Americans tend to be generally less informed of what is going on in the world even though their government is a, if not the major player in it. This leads to some very, very frightening circumstances.
How about this "respect thy enemy" or "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". So no not respecting people by calling them names is not ok, i don't care if you don't hate them or not. Also people feel less inclined to listen if the person is using childish name calling, so try to stay mature.
