Looking to start a new forum but am struggling with categories and forum topics. Want to create a space where people can argue over issues or discuss common interests, just don't know how to sort through it. A few topics I'm thinking about are... News Sports Science and Technology Arts Entertainment Politics Religion Sexual Diversity The forum is intended to be a "Free Speech" zone.
When you say "sexual diversity" do you really mean "an excuse to spew homophobic and transphobic hate speech"?
Looks perty good.!!! I like Ethics, Morality, & Justice... but i supose those thangs coud be discussed as they come up in the categories you alredy have.!!! O... how about a catateoy for "The Fringe"... which coud be a catch-all for ufo's ghosts an such.!!!
Yeah, I was thinking on that idea and adding "Fringe" to the mix. The fact that you mentioned it is probably all the more reason to do so. I won't be posting on my own forums other than as an administrator or moderator. I think the subject of "sexual diversity" is a legitimate issue these days, and as a forum would serve as a catchall for everything under the sun. Keeping with the forum motto, "Testing the Limits of Free Speech," I won't be slapping down anyone with an opinion, whether they support a specific position or oppose it. That's great. I want to draw on the average Joe. Unfortunately, most don't bother with serious topics. I find that the people at work are more involved with YouTube videos about cats, watching sports plays, or passionate about cars. I'm not certain how I might engage them in my forum.

I won't stop someone from posting on the subject. I think images of child pornography would be too much, yet if someone wanted to post on pedophilia, I won't stop them. Providing they are not breaking the law, it falls under the idea of Free Speech. Wouldn't you agree?
Well, I don't so there is no need to start a thread; that is, unless you have something to say. Anyway, my thought is that I don't want to impose my personal views on my forums. Yeah, there are a few things that I won't allow, such as child porn or doxing, but pretty much everything else is open for discussion.
