The police said a number of men who were apprehended had only been in Germany, literally, couple weeks. Does that sound like a desperate refugee (who happened to bypass 5 other nations.to get to the one with the fat welfare state good for milking)? Only a boob, or progressive socialist, but I repeat myself, would think these 20 year old men are real refugees. Meanwhile their mothers and sisters they left in Syria with ISIS are given nothing. No SANE leader would think this is acceptable. A sane leader would instead do something IN Syria for the women and children there. Of which, ironically, only Putin seems to be doing anything against these extremists.

It should be noted not only has Obama issued the most executive orders, he's sold more arms to the middle east autocratic dictatorships than Bush Inc could have dreamed of selling. Yeah, guns bad. Hellfire missiles OTOH.....

Agence France-Presse: Unprecedented sex harassment in Helsinki at New Year: police
Interestingly, in Progressive Democratic Socialists Utopia / Sweden the Leftists have done what all Statists do and made it illegal to criticize the Government's actions (Sweden passes law to criminalize any criticism of immigration). So, Swedes will apparently have to look to other sources of News for an accurate picture of what the Progressive Statists are doing to their country. Sort of reminds me of that other Worker's Paradise, Communist North Korea. Maybe their Progressive Socialist Government can ban their access to the Internet as well, or at least heavily censor it, you know, for the Good of Society. Nothing in society that can't be fixed with a Rock Hammer / Government.

Take a good look at the slums that ring Paris, the no-go neighborhoods of the USA and England. You'll get used to not being able to go out in your so-called "multicultural" society without taking some serious precautions. That and the generational welfare slums where drugs, sex trafficking and functional illiteracy are the norm.

This is YOUR norm now. It's your punishment for selling out your children for a promises of a better retirement than you had worked for. For better benefits than you could provide yourselves in a real-world sustainable manner without resorting to violent redistribution. Your society is the price you have to pay for Magic Thinking in Moar Free. And it is gone. Gone. It's not coming back. You will now live in a New Society. One that is exactly the same as the inner cities of the USA. All the worse aspects of the USA will be mirrored and amplified in your new society.

Oh well, at least you did get to believe in Magic Thinking for a generation.
But, then you ran out of children to sell government bonds on.

What's a Tax Farmer going to do when the Tax Herd is running lean? Import Tax Chattel of course.

Meanwhile, over in Japan, life is pretty decent. We visited the dentist the other day. The total charge was $5. Parking was $4. $9 for a checkup, clean, X-ray, extraction and composit filling. Now, before you start thinking of Bernie MOAR FREE Sanders and the free free moar free free Social Paradise of Japan. The cost for the household medical insurance is $800 a month. That's not to bad given it's full coverage and the number of people it covers. Hence it cost next to nothing for the visit with this coverage.
    See?
There is NO FREE. Not even in Japan where the very language itself shapes Japanese INTO socialists. Where a monoculture of hardworking, honoest, decent people leaves a LOT of extra to Redistribute. What's the best way to do that? FREE MARKETS. Which Japan has a lot of.
So, yeah, you pay for what you get. But, that's okay. It is possible to made do with reality and live within one's means. Even as the population in Japan is falling, people are adjusting their expectations and investing in the sort of technology that will make life better in the future. And every year in many ways it is much better.

There's a reason why we invented religious-memes, and conservative norms like marriage, family values, sound money, private property rights and freedom of speech. The thing is, it takes GENERATIONS to build these Private Institutions, but can destroyed in a single generation of Statism. Literally, overnight (see: China). In our case, it was The Baby's. And once gone, these institutions are truly gone. That ONLY leaves the Government. Which is why we see Republics turn into Dictatorships.

Almost all of the Progressive Socialists I've spoken with (that support Bernie Sanders) would LOVE for him to act as a Dictator when presented with the option and not actually calling him a Dictator. You know, like if you ask if he should use 'Executive Orders' as opposed to Dictates if Congress doesn't agree with his policies. If he's referred to as an Executive and not a Dictator, they're more than happy to agree. Yes yes yes, Redistributor In Chief Sanders! Then we can all have everything for free. Of course, when there's so much work to be done, it's best to just pass the reigns right on to the son.....

Reuters: German town bars asylum seekers from pool

A western German town has barred adult male asylum seekers from its public indoor swimming pool after receiving complaints that some women were sexually harassed there. It was the latest sign of social tensions related to the arrival last year of 1.1 million migrants in Germany, followed by sex assaults on women by young male asylum seekers and migrants during New Year's Eve celebrations in the city of Cologne.

The deputy mayor of Bornheim, a town of 48,000 some 30 km south of Cologne, said on Friday that a difficult decision was taken to send a clear message that breaching German cultural norms was a red line that should not be crossed. "There have been complaints of sexual harassment and chatting-up going on in this swimming pool ... by groups of young men, and this has prompted some women to leave (the premises)," Markus Schnapka told Reuters. "This led to my decision that adult males from our asylum shelters may not enter the swimming pool until further notice."

    --o--
I'm wondering if this is even legal. What next? Ban gays? Christians? Can grocery stores do this? Train stations? What about the refugees who do not 'that breach German cultural norms'. How is integration going to work if Germans don't accept different cultural "norms"? Speaking of which: ummmm..... Multiculturalism? Tolerance?

Sorry, but staring at girls IS part of THEIR culture. German Culture is no longer important, what is now important is MULTIPLE cultures. German being one of many. One of those many is ogling. Ogling doesn't harm someone. Yes, it's aesthetically repugnant behavior, but too bad.

    Progressive Democratic Socialism,
Destroying society one day at a time,
    So you don't have to.

From: Future Doctors And Engineers? 65 Per Cent Of Syrian Refugees Can’t Even Read Or Write, Claims Academic
Original Zeit: Zwei Drittel können kaum lesen und schreiben

A few interesting points: most of the migrants are functionally illiterate, 80% have no qualifications whatsoever, and 70% who started training lessons two years ago have already quit.

This may come as a surprise to many Germans, but other people, in other countries, don't think like you. That's 'multiculturalism'. They do thing their way, you do your thing. I'm sure, if say Japan for example, had a major catastrophe and 1.1 million Japanese ended up in Germany, the situation would be very different. Everyone would be able to read and write (Japanese with a strong familiarity with English) and getting up at 5:00 AM to work until 10:00 PM would be perfectly acceptable. I doubt you'd have a single Japanese not completing a training program. I also imagine the idea of 'We have to BE German now' would probably fit well with the Japanese mindset. I'm guessing there'd be very little Japanese rape-gangs and pickpockets on New Years Eve. Probably not too many Shinto Shrines going up and demands for polytheistic prayer-time in the school either. That's just my guess. And, if a bunch of Americans ended up in Germany, well, we'd be very different again. Which is why, IMO the idea of 'multiculturalism' is somewhat asinine. Even America isn't 'multicultural'. People either integrate or the culture changes. Either way, you end up with a single culture. Take ours for example, where never ending war, safe-spaces, 20% functional illiteracy rates for HS graduates and whining about guns (one way or the other) is our culture.

Anyway, I also found it interesting that this professor was calling for an elimination to the minimum wage to HELP the refugees. Now, stop and think about this. Supposedly all these refugee migrants were supposed to be a 'boon' to the German economy. In reality, they will be a boon to SOME parts of the economy. For example, if you happen to be a SlumLord, well, things may be looking 'economically' bright for your future. Not only do 1.1 million people drive down the vacant housing stock, they also are probably happy to live in a slummy house that the Government will pay the rent for. By "The Government" I mean The Workers in society who will be paying the Government to reduce their chances of getting a decent place to live with affordable rent. Ironically, The Worker will also be paying to retrain refugees to undercut their labor price on the market. Thus, with the increased number of labor-hours on the market, unskilled or low skilled Germans in society will probably be working for less, not working, or working for the same pay with a reduced purchasing power (which is the same as working for less - only this will take a few years as inflation erodes the purchasing power of stagnate wages). Well, this again works out well for the SlumLord, who can now buy cheap labor-hours to put a coat of lead paint on the ole' slummy houses to meet the bare minimum regulations for human habitability. Oh, and all those stair step jobs that German kids would have taken to develop the work ethic and work experience valuable in early life, bye bye to those.

As an aside, I do wonder, how long before The German Voter starts blaming the Koch Brothers for why their wages are stagnant and their quality of life is going down? Well, maybe not the Koch Brothers. I notice usually people just blame "America". It's all "America's" fault we opened the floodgate to over a million refugees. I remember in Australia it was one big whine about America before the mining boom, not a mention of America's fault during the boom years, and I guess in 10 years when the bubbles have mostly popped, it will be back to whining about America. I don't see so much of this in Japan. Which is ironic as some of the best land is used to house American military families.

    Interesting times indeed.

From: Financial Review Germany does an intellectual about-turn on immigration

    --o--
These parts of the article go together like hand in glove. First is the fact that people are now so freaken politically correct about everything that they won't dare even report facts. We're talking 'facts', you know, stuff like 'objective evidence'. In this sense, Germany reminds me of the Western PC culture where it's only okay to blame 'everything is the fault of people who happen to be born male and white'. Thus, just by being born in the geopolitical entity called Germany, that automatically makes you responsible for the atrocities of the Sacking of Roma, August 24, 410.
    Yup - all your fault.
Now work hard little tax chattel and pay enough tax to provide everyone in Italy with a safe-space. You know, because Progressive. Then there's (and I quote) the 'breath-taking stupidity' of the government officials in their asinine attempts to provide moronic cartoonish leaflets to these (so-called) refugees because they don't know it's wrong to get drunk and rape people and steal their things. WTF? Are you kidding me???

Seriously! Government "Officials" (many on very generous salaries and benefits) answer to the problem of gang-rape is this:

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Welcome to a world run by Progressive "Democratic" Socialists / Idiots.

After promising you everything you could have wanted - and all for "Free", and then running out of children to sell T-Bonds on to pay for it all, they now have to "welcome" in 1.1 million refugees - which they thought were going to just 'integrate' and 'multiculture' their way into paying enough tax to cover it all.

    Nope.
Instead, you'll be going without. Oh well, at least they made this handy-dandy comic you can hand to the next gang of rapists when they're beating you in the face and taking your purse. You, know, because they didn't realize 5 men surrounding a woman and raping her was wrong.

    Enjoy the Progressive Utopia.

Many of these young Islamic men come from societies where rape-culture actually exists. As in, a real rape culture. As in, you are likely to be raped and then YOU are stoned.

The reaction (or lack thereof) from Western Feminists is actually quite interesting to watch, given many share the world-view that ALL problems everywhere and forever, are the fault of white-men. Interesting.

UK Independent: Police say 13-year-old girl was not 'kidnapped and raped by asylum seekers' in Berlin

On January 11, the 13-year-old disappeared in the morning on the way to school and the police published an APB. Tuesday noon of the following day she reappeared. According to her testimony she had been abducted by “Arab men” who had her blindfolded and held her kidnapped in an apartment for about 30 hours as they repeatedly raped. The crime scene is suspected near Falkenberg.

However, the German police then released a statement that: “After the police investigation, there was neither abduction nor rape. Further details are not disclosed to protect the personality." I'm not exactly sure how it's possible a child who has had sex with an adult, let along three, and that is not raped - by legal definition one would think this is apriori rape. So that's odd - in a sort of discussing barf in your own mouth sort of way. This is where it gets even more interesting, Police reports show that upon contacting the police station of the horrific crime, Police officials interrogated the 13-year-old victim for three hours without letting her be accompanied by an adult. Apparently, police laughed at the girl, mocked her, and accused her of lying, to the point where she eventually collapsed. Finally she signed a confession that she was not raped. Yet, according to the physician who examined her physically - serious vaginal injury and other injuries would suggest otherwise. The police spokesperson shamelessly defended the child rapists, claiming that the men had neither abducted nor sexually assaulted their victim. Police released the rapists without charging them.
So, a 13-year-old girl had consensual sex with three ‘southern men’ (as they described the Muslims),” a family member said, sarcastically referring to the police’s failed handling of the case. “It is an outrage that these people are not being arrested or detained.

The parents have a lawyer and are suing the German Progressive Democratic Socialist State.

Again, we'll have to wait to see how the court case plays out (if there is one). But, I'm fairly certain a 13 year old child cannot have consensual sex with three adult men. That's insane. I mean, completely insane. What the F is going on over there in EU??? I honestly think people are literally losing the plot.

    --o--
Looks like Scandinavian "Democratic" Socialism is imploding on itself in much the same way National Socialism and Marxist Socialism have. See, "Socialism" only works up until you run out of other people's money to spend - or children to sell Bonds on. At that point you either have admit the Progressive Magic Thinking is completely unsustainable with living in the real world, with real limits, OR you find other people to pay for the 'Free'. It seems the German Oligarchy think Syrian Muslims will make up the difference - LOL, good luck with that.

Meanwhile, over in Japan, it's routine to see children in kindergarten walking home from the bus stop. Sure, times are difficult due to the distorted population caused by 1970s and 80s Progressive Socialism. Back then, Japanese were promised everything and anything. The thing is, someone has to pay. So, many elderly are still working when they thought they'd be retired and so are their kids and grand-kids.

That's the way it works. There is no 'Magic'.

But, society is very safe, there's plenty of housing and the food is really nice. People are honest and polite. Is it the Progressive Democratic Socialist Utopia of Sweden and Germany?
    No, not quite.
But that's okay - people in Japan somehow manage to get by anyway.

At the moment the problems are less economic ones. Germany is doing fine, compared to most other european countries. There are open jobs, unemployment rate is low, so well-educated and willing immigrants can find jobs. But there are problems, difficult problems:

Problem 1: German industry is high-tech, highly automated. There are no jobs for people without a good edcuation. This is already a problem for the less educated parts of german population and badly educated immigrants make the competition about the few available jobs in that sector even worse.

Problem 2: While Germany might have no real "leading" culture, influences from the "age of enlightement" and "humanism" are strong. Religion counts little, we even wonder about the USA, and how important it seems to be there, to be religious. This contrasts a lot with the immigrants style of life, where religion is the rule. And, it is a religion that contradicts some values which were held up here, like tolerance towards individual differences and equality of all people. (Both are not 100% intrinsic to society, but both are seen as very important things, still).

Problem 3: While many immigrants who enter the USA want to become americans, adopt the american way of life, many of the immigrants who come to Germany do not want to adopt the german way of life, much less become Germans. They want to keep their culture, their traditions.

This a dangerous mix of problem - too few jobs for the immigrants, cultures which are polar to each other in many aspects, and immigrants who do not want to give up their old culture in favor of the new one.

Social welfare is seen as a very important thing here. Government is expected to keep it going, even if it means to pay quite a lot of taxes for everyone. Germans have always been a fearful bunch, "German Angst", and thus welfare, even expensive one, is one of the pillars of society. If it fails, the country will likely see a big uproar, because then, many of the other problems which are tolerated now, will be seen as unbearabe. Unlike the USA, society here believs in a big and influences government, that the government is the institution to handle things like healthcare and education. This is _very_ different from the common ideas in the USA.

I must say, I see a lot of problems coming, but I expect the welfare state to be the last to fall. It came up when Germany was formed, education and health care the first two things which government pushed, and which were appreciated much. Germany didn't really exist till a bit more than 100 years ago. It was a territory of small and smallest states, which lead war against each other, had borders, tolls, different units of measurement ... and Germany is still very regional, the so called "Bundeslander" (federal states?) not reflecting the social groups very well. Sometimes there are several groups in one state, some groups spread among several states. There is little that keeps Germany together, but the brace of the government, and the welfare is one of the most welcome parts of this brace. Regions here are also much smaller than in the USA, if you drive a hundred miles, you likely are in another "territory", another historic tribe, or otherwise defined group of people. And most are well aware of their inheritance. Even if you are in Bavaria, one of the most well known parts of german, be careful to call the people there Bavarians. There are Suebes and Franconians as well, and they will let you immediately know, they are no Bavarians, even if they live inside the same borders and the state is labeled Bavaria for simplicity.

Funny - a first few of the immigrants already go back to their home countries. Germany isn't a paradise as they had to learn. Germany has a fierce competition of jobs, and a fierce competition of finding affordable places to live.

The rate of home owners is much lower in Germany than in other countries. This is something that puzzles many immigrants, who are used to having had a house of their own. In Germany most people live in rented flats.

Not funny - if it's better to go back to place like Iraq, Germany isn't a good place to stay ... well we tried to tell so, but no one believed it. Now they saw it on their own and some rather want to go back :/

I think it's going to be very interesting to watch unfold in Germany, and more so in Sweden. Japan also suffers from some of the same problems as Germany - to many old people and not enough young people. I believe the birth rate in Germany is even a little lower than that of Japan. The difference is, IMO, Japan is dealing with this in a sustainable manner. It's not reasonable, or sustainable, to import more people from overseas. Why do that? Sure, in the short term, your economy will be boosted and you'll have more economic activity due to having more people. But, those people become old one day. Then you import more people? That is simply not sustainable.

By not importing mass numbers of people, the Japanese are (in a sense) forced to deal with their problems here and now. They have double down on society. By that I mean, they have to invest even more into education - to ensure they produce the people with the high skills needed to maintain their high tech economy. In the area around where I live when in Japan, 4 of the 5 schools are closed and consolidated into 1 school. As an example. Yes, they could have imported tons and tons of poor people from overseas - who'd love a chance at attending those good schools. That would have kept those teachers employed. It would have also dramatically altered society. So much so as to make it no longer "Japan". So, thank the Gods, they didn't do that. They closed the schools and put more money and energy into the 1 remaining school.

That doesn't mean there is no immigration to Japan. There is. Of high skilled people. There are also a few refugees taken in. I think last year it was 14 total. They approved about 600, but it still takes awhile.

The upside? Imagine a high tech country where the crime rate is so low 6 and 7 year olds can walk down to the train station, take the train into a major city, get off and walk to school. Or a 7 year old walking through a busy city or mid-sized suburb alone. That's nice. No graffiti. No worries about being mugged. I see money out on the counter all the time. I drove to a zoo the other day, there was a pile of money in the booth. Just sitting there with some 16 year old girl selling tickets. There is no way in hell you'd see that in the USA, or AU, or NZ or any other country I've lived in. I went to a German restaurant in Kobe during X-mas. I love the fried chicken there - and the beers are huge

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Well, they were selling chicken outside in a hugely busy part of the city. Thousands of people walking by every hour. Anyway, there's a HUGE pile of money sitting there. The girl turns and gets the chicken and just leaves the money sitting there - unwatched. Maybe a couple thousand dollars or more. I could have grabbed a handfull of cash and no one would have been the wiser. Well, people in line might have seen. But, again, you'd NEVER see that in the USA. Ever go to a cafe' but you're worried if you get in line there won't be a seat available. In Japan you can just sit your $1200 smart phone on the table and walk away. It means that "This Seat Is Taken". Nice huh?

Yeah, Japan has some structural problems due to the demographics. A very small price to pay for living in a safe, interesting, creative society of hard working honest people.

Anyway, again, it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the coming decades.

Two points come to my mind:

    1) Yes, this observation is shared among many people I know. And it explains why a good number are leaving Germany already again, because the conditions for immigrants, even if deemed better than in other parts of europe, are just enough to live. Immigrants, until the legal stuff is done, live in mass homes, have almost no privacy, are not allowed to work, get little money, and often unliked food. A horror for those who came to work here. It's been meant as shelter for people fleeing from war, who have nothing but their life and who are happy to have roof over their heads and enough to eat. Those who want to earn money will find themselves trapped in these homing facilities, with no rights but to get food, safety and a little money.

    2) I expect migration will increase. Not only because of the wars, but also global warming. Near the equator living conditions will get worse (in average) and in the north (and south) new areas open up which were previously too cold to be used. So there will be migration from the equatorial regions towards the poles. And if people migrate anyways, they sure look for promising destinations, and well developed "rich" countries sure look like a good place to move to.

I think the second point still is often neglected, and the frequent reaction to build walls and fences to stop migration is short sighted. If conditions worsen further in the equatorial regions and the people are not allowed to move, this just triggers new conflicts, maybe wars. To keep peace in a large scale, there should be ways sought to allow migration - I believe that the earlier plans and strategies are made and found, the easier it is to handel teh problem. Germany clearly was not prepared, and thus the immigration has become a really big problem.

One consideration is assimilation. The main countries, to which most people want to immigrate, are prime first world countries, because these cultures are conducive to being first world. If you don't take enough time for assimilation, you will get a watering down affect of culture, due to acccommodation, where first world averages with third world, to get second world.

The USA, in 1924, stopped all immigration for decades, until the immigration of previous decades assimilated. The first generation does not always change very much from the ways of the old country. It can be hard for the older immigrants to change. The second generation has one foot in two worlds; old and new. The third generation is when there is fill assimilation. Then you open the door again.

In my own experience, in the town of my youth, it used to be nice middle class community that was clean and neat. People had pride in their homes and community. There was then migration from poor countries, which made that area look more like a pig pen. Pig pen is normal to third world cultures, with these people happy with this; like home. Eventually, another generation passed until the younger people appeared to gain a new sense of pride in their community, fixing up the homes, so the area looked neat, again.

Countries need to limit immigration and wait for the pig pen stage to pass. Once it is assimilated it can handle the next wave of third world pig pen.

According to the UNHRC the vast majority of the 'refugees' are young men. Of those, at least half actually aren't refugees. Who knows how many are outright murders, petty criminals, rapists, psychopaths, drug mules, pedophiles, and etc... ALL societies have these types of people. I would assume that such social delinquents would jump at a chance to cross into Europe - particularly when European men are seen as pansies. Not that they are, well some are of course, but this is a particular view from abroad.

Many of the refugees are quite wealthy - most poor refugees could never afford to migrate to Europe. It'd be impossible. Further, what type of person leaves their mother and sister IN a war zone to 'escape' to Europe? How many husbands would leave their wives and children IN a war zone? It's just insane. No one reasonable does that. You stay and defend yourself and your family.

This is so horrible, I'd say it's actually shocking.
    Sickening.

I'll say it again, thank the Gawds the Japanese Oligarchy is adamantly against allowing refugees into Japan.

As I watch this example of a true blue bonafide example of Rape Culture, I can't but help think about the Internet meme of "White Male" privilege. Oh the Irony. Over and over and over we hear Progressive "Democratic" Socialists heaping all of History's blame onto the shoulder's of "White Male". Those evil White Males and their 'Man Spreading' - where's my SafeSpace. Ignoring the blatant hypocrisy of blaming someone for something they have no say in (their gender and skin complexion), I wonder how many of these little weenies would stand up and defend this woman here?

Not many by the looks of it.

Mezher began working at an asylum center in the city of Molndal, helping unaccompanied minor migrants adapt to life in their adopted home,” The Washington Post writes. “She was killed by one of those young migrants.”

Imagine this. Your whole life you were told Lions were these 15 foot 5 headed monsters that spit lightning, ice, fire, etc... Then, one day, you see a Lion. Why, that's not a 15 foot monster and it only has 1 head. Gee, it's almost cute. I think I'll walk over and say hello.

Humans are the most dangerous predator this planet has ever produced. A lion is nothing next to a human. Something to bare in mind.

The Telegraph: Danish girl who used pepper spray on attacker faces prosecution

The 17-year-old, from the coastal town of Sonderborg, was forced to the ground by an English-speaking man who tried to undress her. She was later warned by police that the pepper spray she used on him was illegal for private citizens to possess, and that she would face a £50 fine. Local police spokesman Knud Kirsten told TV Syd: 'It is illegal to possess and use pepper spray, so she will likely to be charged for that.' The man who allegedly attacked her has not yet been caught, and it remains unclear as to whether he was a migrant or a resident at the asylum centre. But in the wake of concerns about waves of sex attacks by newly arrived migrants in Germany over New Year, the case has caused outrage on social media. "Self-defence is a human right,” said one user. Others offered to pay the girl's fine for her.

She's lucky it was only one person and not 5, 15, 25 or more.
