    It might

But my hope is that those who view this site will go past the insults and empty posts and investigate further what this thread has always been about , the truth . What is really going outside mainstream information .

It is important to investigate and make up your own mind about UFO's , USO's ( unidentified underwater objects )

It is the younger generations , in their 20-30-40's yrs that will be open to the truth better than us older generations , 50+.

Moderator note: michael 345 has been warned for stereotyping people with a particular ethnic background.

This warning is issued in response to the general outcry that an official warning be issued for this. Clearly, an argument can be made in line with our posting guidelines. Of course, for consistency, similar future offences will have to be dealt with similarly.

This alien spaceship nonsense has been going on since before those 50+ people were born. In 50+ years, there's been no good evidence of alien visitation. But there are plenty of gullible people out there who are willing to believe unverified anecdotal stories. So this stuff still gets a lot of airplay.

Hundreds of compelling eyewitness accounts and thousands of photos say otherwise, as anyone perusing this thread can tell for themselves. And again, we're talking the existence of ufos, not the visitation of alien spaceships.

    Isn't this thread called:
    "In defence of space aliens"?

Yep...that's what James R called it when he created this thread, hoping to limit its topic to proving space aliens. Unfortunately I never said they were just space aliens. A ufo is just a ufo, as already defined in this thread. See post #14.

Nobody disputes that some flying objects are unidentified. They are unidentified until they are identified as something.

It's interesting how you slip and slide around in your protestations about UFOs. On the one hand, you say you have no idea what they are. But that's not true, is it? Because on the other hand you say they might be time travellers from the future, they might be beings from another dimension, they might be supernatural manifestations, etc. etc. What they never are, according to you, is a mistaken planet Venus, or a weather balloon, or a human-built conventional aircraft.

Your idea of a UFO is not an "unidentified flying object". It is something you think you have identified as "other-worldly" in one way or another. Magical Realist UFOs are, in fact, IFOs - things that fit into the particular woo category that Magical Realist prefers.

For convenience, we might as well refer to your imagined time travellers or extradimensional beings as alien visitors. There's no meaningful distinction to be made in terms of the actual material you put up as supposed evidence.

LOL! Right..because then it would be an IFO and so identified as Venus or swamp gas or lens flare or whatever bullshit thing skeptics fall back on.

Nope..I'm adhering to the common definition cited in post #14.

"An unidentified flying object, or UFO, is in its strictest definition any apparent object in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon."

A known object or phenomenon, as in IFO, would be the planet Venus or swamp gas or meteors. An unknown object or phenomenon, as in UFO, would be time travelers, interdimensionals, or ETs. See how that works?

The above is Post #14 in this thread

Using THIS definition only would you agree that ANYTHING which cannot be "identifiable as a known object or phenomenon" MUST remain a UFO?

Attempts to speculate WHAT they COULD be are just that SPECULATION correct?

A simple YES or NO response would be fine

No..not anything. Only "an apparent object in the sky". As to its status as a ufo, yes that remains until the day we encounter one and the intelligences behind it.

So an alien spaceship or time travellers from the future are not UFOs. Got it.

Would you agree, by the way, that "apparent objects" are not necessarily objects or beings at all?

Wait. No, I don't see how that works.

If you say "That's an alien spaceship" then you know what it is. You've got positive ID as an alien spaceship. Similarly if you say "That light in the sky is a time traveller from the future."

As soon as you say "alien spaceship", you have a known, identified object. You've identified it as an alien spaceship.

    Intelligences behind it?

When you say "That light in the sky has intelligences behind it", aren't you identifying it as a product of "intelligences"? How does it then remain "unidentified"?

Got me - in the sky - of course

    Yes - got it

    and

    wishful thinking?

    and back to speculation

As well as nonexistent (as in lied about)
    Hallucinations
    Drunken visions
    Street lights + lots more

Do flattened patches of grass deemed to be evidence of a landing or sighting of something on the ground with odd creatures around count as UFO's even though the flying bit is not seen?

And that's why we don't say it's an alien spaceship. We only speculate on possibilities of presently unknown objects and phenomena. Time travelers, interdimensionals, paranormal tricksters, collective tulpas, etc. IOW, a UFO. Got it? Good.
