Because of the direction. Going up isn't nose diving is it?

" What Is Alexa Rank? Short Definition:
Alexa rank is a global ranking system that ranks millions of websites in order of popularity.
It’s calculated by looking at the estimated average daily unique visitors and number of pageviews for a given the site over the past 3 months.
The lower your Alexa rank, the more popular the website is. "

Going by the Alexa ranking Seattle, #1 being "at the top", with all lesser visited sites going down in numerical order, so "Going up", in numerical order, from 215,000 to 280,000 is "nose diving", or Going Down in popularity.

Looking at the current ranking : https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/sciforums.com , sciforums.com has went from #446,441 90 days ago to #322,560 today - which is "Going up" in popularity

I made the same mistake in post 6.

The chart is a popularity ranking. The Y-axis is inverted. Lower numbers (higher ranks) are near the top - with 1 being at the top.

"Hovering around popularity level of 215 000 for about 10 months and then a nose dive to about 280 000 over 4 months."

Popularity ranking went from 215 000 down to 280 000.
