ummm....arm to teeth earthlings and greet the newcomers diplomatically with a grenade in each hand ready to go any second.
Only if they would fight on the surface I guess, there would also be no way that we can invade their homeworld, so the best we could do is fend them of. And hope they want the planet badley enof so they don't perform a asteroid bombardment from the Oort cloud.
alien but what if they dont want the planet? would we be able to defend against aliens if they just wanted us dead? that is assuming they are even hostile
Imagen a alien probe that is masked as a small asteroid less then 40 m acros with a core of 250 ton antimatter uranium that collides above antartica or above yellowstone's super vulcano. Whe wouldn't be able to detect it until days before it hit the earth and we wouldn't wreally care if we discovered such a small frament because asteroids of such size burn up or cause verry little damage. However 250 ton antimatter would proberly blow away al the atmosphere of the horizon, and cause many more tremors vulcano eruptions flooding,... proberly enof to kill all of humanity. So proberly no we couldn't fight them off
Unless their are star trek like laws out there, a alien race has verry little to gain or to lose from a attack. Killing us all in a single punch without us ever knowing abouth them would seems kinda pointless.
true but why else would they travel so far into space? they arent likely to find earth by accident are they they will be there for a reason?
true if they don't want any people around during their busnis they could go to alpha centauri in stead their are plenty of uninhabitable stars.
water is the most abundend element in the solar system, yust look at the jovian system for example the biggest moons are more then 50% water ice. And have less gravity so it's easier to bring it into orbit. Earths isn't actually that interesting for mining, unless your planning of living there ...unless they want oil or something then earth's proberly their prime target in a radius of more then a 100 light years.
do u think humans and aliens could live in peace knowing that the other exists and where they are? i dont. i think that aliens will try and invade soon enough and they will probably succeed. there not goin to attack randomely they will be well prepared and will know our weaknesses and probably be spying on us for years and years to get us where we are weakest are.
Well the universe is big enof for more then 1 race, and it's proberly going to last a couple of billion years, so it isn't wreally necesairy to kill us. Nevertheless this alien race should be quit powerful if it can reach us, and like you said should proberly have came long ago and have studiet us for years, if they still haven't found our weakest point, then I actually believe that we have something usefull to offer him like military intel.
alien well if they are out there and will attack in the future then they will probably be watchin us right now
well without a trigger event let them keep watching us for a other couple of millinia is they like, and if they simply blow us up they must realise that they proberly would also destory the largest porn collection in the universe. Certainley if there aren't any laws against vaporizating a planet there must still be laws to protect porn.
No, water is merely a fairly abundant molecule. There are plenty more out there. Your comment about less gravity is confusing, do you not mean smaller so can be moved more easily? Which is in itself incorrect, since you would have to get their huge mass moving out of teh gravity well of Jupiter.
they have interstellar starships... If you send stuff up from a jovian moon you can do a close planetary fly by and your cargo is going to speed up. BTW yes I meant less gravity in the fact that it takes less thrust to send a specific amound of cargo up.
