Tyler: Mmmm, I love a man who knows his science history. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Nelson, dear, did you hear what Tyler just said? I bow to your knowledge of the subject, I have never studied it. And prove it?
Tyler and Xev, It's a Philosophy... and it explains things very well... Yeah... I admit... I've never seen that before, anyways... Anyone never talked about a "Eratosthenes"... I've heard about a "Copernicus", "Galileo", but never "Eratosthenes"... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! ""The Greek philosopher Eratosthenes..." See the word philosopher there...? That don't make it proven. A good book: Timothy Ferris' 'Coming of Age in the Milky Way'. He was a philosopher and scientist - he lived before science had been created. What has that to do with Daoism?
truthseeker, xev, tyler, Religion: Taoism - http://www.gio.gov.tw/taiwan-website/5-gp/yearbook/chpt25-1.htm An organised religion since around 200CE.
A little bit of Daoism for you... http://www.clas.ufl.edu/users/gthursby/taoism/intros.htm http://reluctant-messenger.com/main.htm http://www.breath.org/alchemy/ http://members.aol.com/MrSage365/LaoTzu.html http://www.theharmonyinstitute.org/bookstore/taoism.shtml http://www.yakrider.com/Resources/resources.htm http://www.askasia.org/frclasrm/readings/r000005.htm http://www.taohealingarts.com/taoistway.html Taoism and Science: http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/~nsivin/7tao.html Love, Nelson
http://www.religioustolerance.org/taoism.htm Nifty. Well there we go. It's a religion, and it's not a science, and it's not proven. The only prediction, 'chi', can be shown to not exist.
Xev, First: I studied the Taoism Philosophy... Second: what the heck is "nifty"...? :bugeye: Love, Nelson
We noticed. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Good, interesting, sweet.... A 'loonie' is a crazy person, BTW. Here, this place http://www.dict.org/ has definitions of slang.
