    im sorry but i dissagree

you want to see TRUE suffering, you can find it in EVERY country

i knew a girl who use to live on the streets, no food, no shelter

i hate to bring this up all the time but WHY THE FUCK DO OUR YOUTH WANT TO DIE???????????

the suffering in poorer countrys maybe more oviouse but don't for one minute think that because you live in a "good country" that everyones is cared for, feed, clothed, sheltered any better than those poor countrys

and i still can't see much sader than a mother losing her unborn child, except for maybe a mother losing her NEW born child

cot death is terible (yes i know ALL about cot death because my family was in the local twins club, because my brother and sister are twins, and some people there lost babys to cot death)

So, to be consequent and all, since the rockstars wont give away the money we gave them, the next time we think about buying a cd or going to a concert, we give the money to charity instead.

    OK?

I agree with A4 - we do need education also.

And Assy - yes, there is suffering in the whole world, not just third world countries. So I agree with you too! Wow! I think thats a first!!!!!!

Yes. There I agree highly with you Asguard.

You can find suffering and misery in every street nowadays. Doesn't it make you sad to see that it is possible in our "rich", civilized countries, that so many people still have to suffer because they can't pay the rent or just have no choice than to live on the streets because of problems they've had in their past?

Isn't it so that everybody has the right to live inside a house, that they have shelter in any way? Do you know how others look at these people who are forced, one way or another, to live on the streets and fall deeper in despair, this way? I think we have to be open to them, for they are not "evil" or dirty or whatever. I know a lot of people who don't have a roof above their heads. Some of them sleep in "Homes For The Homeless". (don't know the exact word for it in English, sorry) and have to go on the streets again as soon as they are awake and have had a measly breakfast. Yes it is good these "Homes" are there, it doesn't help them with their problems though.

And don't come to me with stories that most of them are drunks or drug-users, because that is only part of them, not all, not in a long run.

My experiences with the homeless are not bad. I've had them in my apartment many times when there was no way for them to go.

So yes, you are right. I am sorry I went off to much in the direction of the poor countries, I think that we can take care of our own homeless people if we ony give it a chance.

And the Rock-Stars giving their money to the poor was just an example. It doesn't seem right no, in some cases. It's hard to explain.

The numbers of homeless people in the "rich" countires are growing. It gets harder and harder to keep their heads above the Water and yes, it are a lot of young people. So why do they kill themselves? Because they don't see a solution...no way out no more. And that's very sad. Too sad for words.

Maybe Fukushi's answer is not so bad. The people on Earth need another chance. Maybe there should be a total change in this civilization.

Yes, we need education. Do you know how expensive a good education is? Some people simply cannot pay for this and their children don't get the opportunity to be educated.

A good friend of mine was studying for being a Doctor, as in medicine. Well, she finished her fourth year in the University and then the rules got changed. She was getting a allowance from the State to support her education and all of a sudden it was decided that her parents should pay because they were just above the limit of receiving some allowance to let their daughter finish her education. She had only one more year to go and had to leave the University because of it.

Is that fair??? I think it is ridiculous.

That is the world we are living in today. Ande we created it ourselves.

I go for revolution! Away with the old, make place for the new. Changes we need...big changes to give others a more fair chance...

Your wrong here Banshee. I work with the homeless population here in town. And 90-95% are drug or alcohol abusers. My mother is homeless - so I know what Im talking about.

    Banshee

Isn't it so that everybody has the right to live inside a house, that they have shelter in any way?

Absolutely not. If these people give up on society, they deserve nothing.

Do you know how others look at these people who are forced, one way or another, to live on the streets and fall deeper in despair, this way?

Forcing them ? What, with a gun to their heads ? Give me a break. The only thing stopping them is their own willpower.

I think we have to be open to them, for they are not "evil" or dirty or whatever.

    Exactly, they're lazy.

Yes it is good these "Homes" are there, it doesn't help them with their problems though.

"Homes" solve nothing, they merely prolong the problem.

The numbers of homeless people in the "rich" countires are growing.

Does that mean the number of homeless people in "poor" countries is shrinking ? It is the poor countries we should turn our attention.

Some people simply cannot pay for this and their children don't get the opportunity to be educated.

Ever hear of scholarships ? That's when deserving children, rich or poor, get their schooling paid. Education is not something to be handed to everyone but instead to those that wish to take advantage of the education. Too many are being educated, yet are learning nothing.

She was getting a allowance from the State to support her education and all of a sudden it was decided that her parents should pay because they were just above the limit of receiving some allowance to let their daughter finish her education. She had only one more year to go and had to leave the University because of it.

Is that fair??? I think it is ridiculous.

Absolutely fair. If your friend was truly deserving of the education, she would have got her allowance, one way or another.

I go for revolution! Away with the old, make place for the new. Changes we need...big changes to give others a more fair chance...

Socialism and communism don't work. They are a blight on society and should be abolished. Many of those that "should get a fair chance" are simply parasites that can't do anything for themselves.

One must work very hard to get education. If you're not ready to do that, then pick up a shovel.

"Yes. There I agree highly with you Asguard. You can find suffering and misery in every street nowadays. That's called freedom. With freedom comes the oppurtunity to fuck up and the oppurtunity to do great.

"Isn't it so that everybody has the right to live inside a house, that they have shelter in any way?"

No. Everybody has the right to work hard enough to live inside a house.

"And don't come to me with stories that most of them are drunks or drug-users, because that is only part of them, not all, not in a long run."

Any proof for that? Or is it just something you wish?

"My experiences with the homeless are not bad. I've had them in my apartment many times when there was no way for them to go."

And that's a kind thing to do. However, I don't think giving people a free ride their whole life is the answer.

"Maybe Fukushi's answer is not so bad. The people on Earth need another chance. Maybe there should be a total change in this civilization."

If you want to suggest a social system that has yet to be attempted go ahead. I can't think of anything better than absolute freedom.

"Yes, we need education. Do you know how expensive a good education is? Some people simply cannot pay for this and their children don't get the opportunity to be educated."

A good amount of Americans (yes I know you're not American) don't realize that Canadian Universities are 1/10th the price and in some cases better than American Universities. Plus, education is not limited to University. What about apprenticeship? I'm an apprentice at a bike store. And I get paid.

"I go for revolution! Away with the old, make place for the new. Changes we need...big changes to give others a more fair chance..."

Like what? Care to throw up a suggestion.

    Fukushi:

"well : let me tell you to wake up: 'cause democracy is an ilusion and it doesn't work either and the thing you name that way is actually totalitarism,...in the hands of the rich and the zaibatsu's"

You seem to dislike the fact that people have the right to be rich.

"and that's that! if you want to defend their way of vieuw: then you're a Propagandist for them,...the assh*les that f*ck you right up your and our a$$es."

You're what is wrong with this world fukushi. You seem to think that because I believe in freedoms I am a tool. That's disgusting. What if I said you're a tool for the neo-Marxist idiots?

"bet you even like the system and how it's going, I bet you have a big ego too,...I bet,...nah,...I don't bet,....I'm shure"

I do like the system. I love the system. It grants me the freedom to fuck up or do great.

"It's just a monopoly game, Prove me wrong,...Kapitalism? where's that Kapita? éh? out there in the streets: where the slaves work,...we are slaves and we protest !!! I don't want to be a slave anymore !!"

Then work hard and make money. Would you prefer to get your goods by not working?

    "I will predict your results:

    right +7
    authority +7.5"

I doubt it. Q's remarks only indicated that he believes in Democracy over a system where people get free stuff for not working. I know for a fact that if I lived in a Marxist-Lenninist society I would not work. I would purposely do as little and poorly a job as possible because I would have absolutely zero motivation.

The problem with that test is that some of the questions are worded in such a way as to force a response in which a simple agreement or disagreement is not the answer one would normally give. In those cases, although perhaps I may have responded in more than 50% agreement, I simply replied with disagreement Therefore my responses probably pushed my score more to Libertarian from Authoritarian.

Yes (Q), sure, anything you wish. It is obvious you do not know a thing about the situation in countries outside the U$.

The Netherlands has over 16.000.000 legal inhabitants, there is a great lack in jobs, rents are very high. But of course, everybody has to work. Whether there is work available or not. Whether you earn enough money to pay your rent and other utilities and then I am not even talking about things that you have to pay outside of that. Sure, easy spoken from a freedom talker like you.

Study allowances are based on the income from parents. The system is made in a way you easily make just a few bucks to many to get such. It is not up to you to judge wherher people are able to work. Ever heard this sentence: For every job so many men, so many men no-one needs...

You obviously never ever tried to understand the people who loose jobs because they are replaced by younger, thus, cheaper people. You do not even care to take a closer look at all those humans who live in such poorly conditions that they just do not see another way out than to live in the streets. Do you know how much effort they do to try to get a job? No!

You live in your precious U$ and do not see the people in there who just have the same problems. It is easier to say they are just lazy. Wake up man, wake finally up from your high tower in which only your beloved self counts and perhaps a long way down the ladder a few persons else who have the same illusionary view on real life as you yourself. Not everybody chooses to do without a job!

I've always worked, I had a time that I lived in a house, together with my son. This very little house had a very big price tab on it and it was pretty hard to pay the rent there, every month. I managed yes. I also made a 112 guilders (no Euro yet then) to many to get tax refund or something like that.

There is a lot to say against the homeless, and I am convinced that most of you arrogant and spoiled people here are looking down on homeless people. I suggest you look a little further than your own, warm, cozy life in which you live up to the standards of uncle sam or you are just in your teens and do not even know how ugly life can get sometimes.

By the way (Q), did you join bush's new security cabinet? If not, then I suggest you do so.

No, he is a victim of a society which can not answer to the big asking for life supplies. I don't know whether he works or not. Who the fuck are you Tyler, to say that he lives in a neo-marxistic society. Do you know then where Fukushi is from? Do you know anything about him really? Do you know in which country he lives?

How do ytou know it's not a free country Tyler? Oh, the ignorance of the young. You please go ahead with your life Tyler and learn to know all things from a Land of Freedom, as in the pro's and cons.

As for education systems, they differ from country to country. As a student you mostly have very little money and most of them are having a job besides their studies...

    Sigh.....
Banshee. You get way to emotional and it clouds your logic. Or your reading. I don't know which.

"The Netherlands has over 16.000.000 legal inhabitants, there is a great lack in jobs, rents are very high. But of course, everybody has to work. Whether there is work available or not. Whether you earn enough money to pay your rent and other utilities and then I am not even talking about things that you have to pay outside of that. Sure, easy spoken from a freedom talker like you.......(and the rest of your first section)"

What would you prefer? Like I said before, what would you prefer? A nation which works more towards getting the economy running and the unemployment rate very very low? Then come on over to Canada. Or many other Democratic nations. The thing is, like every kind of system, some Democracies will have ups and downs economically. Ask a former-Soviet citizen or our young Latvian friend how communism supported hte people at certain times when resources were low and used in other areas.

"No, he is a victim of a society which can not answer to the big asking for life supplies. I don't know whether he works or not. Who the fuck are you Tyler, to say that he lives in a neo-marxistic society. Do you know then where Fukushi is from? Do you know anything about him really? Do you know in which country he lives?"

In short; fuck you, learn to read. Fukushi immediatly called every single Democratic human being a tool to the system and a blind, ignorant idiot. He called me a tool of the system. So I said; what if I called you a tool to the system you believe in? As in to point out there is no difference and that I am not a blind, ignorant human being but one with his own view. My question IN NO WAY whatsoever insinuated he lived in a communist nation. Never once did I state that. I questioned his being a tool to the system he believes in the same way he questioned me being a tool to the system I believe in. Understand? Not a difficult concept at all.

"As for education systems, they differ from country to country. As a student you mostly have very little money and most of them are having a job besides their studies..."

I am a student. And my parents have recently decided to not pay for any of my University fees.

Also, I find it very interesting that you call me insulting at this point. Your golden boy Fukushi basically called everyone who believes in Democracy an asshole, fucking idiot and moron. Glad to know where your morals are.

Maybe he has reason to do so. Ever thought about that? And then again, don't come to me with your morals. What about your morals? Shall I mention all the threads you started to write down all your personal, narrow-minded views on another member, perhaps because you envied him???

Anyway, this is not a flaming thread and I do not wish to participate in such.

A small country with to many inhabitants always runs into problems I guess if the government of such a country tries to please everybody who's in there. It just doesn't work out the way they wanted. It is just to sad for words that people in a so called rich country have to be poor and thrown down the drain. That's it for now.

Well, then it is good to know you are an apprentice and get paid.

I've insulted Fox, Nelson and Randolfo the most. Fox, well, you understand I hope. Nelson for denying facts and not listening to logic and for not listening to ANYONE on these boards. And Randolfo for denying history.

Maybe I have reasons to say what I did to him. Didn't stop you from jumping on me.

I'm not about to build bikes my whole life. I've seen what comes of most of the guys who do, and I know I'm capable of more. I'll likely end up attending a small college for two years and then persuing a scholarship of some sorts. I already have a spot open at UofT for political sciences, but I don't really want to do politics.

It is obvious you do not know a thing about the situation in countries outside the U$.

Hmmm... lets see now, last count I've been to (and lived) in (32) countries of America, Europe, Asia and Africa. I've yet to go to South America but plan to in the future.

Sure, easy spoken from a freedom talker like you

I'm not only a talker, but a walker as well. I can make money without getting a job, can you ?

Study allowances are based on the income from parents.

State run education stipends ? That's Socialism isn't it ? I have not use for that crap.

The system is made in a way you easily make just a few bucks to many to get such. It is not up to you to judge wherher people are able to work. Ever heard this sentence: For every job so many men, so many men no-one needs...

Are those Peter Gabriel lyrics? How much money does he have ? How did he get it ? Hard work or handouts ?

You obviously never ever tried to understand the people who loose jobs because they are replaced by younger, thus, cheaper people.

Or have they just outlived their usefulness ? Did they save any money towards retirement ? Any investments ? Have they tried to make money on their own without the need of a job ? Or did they just give up and whither away ?

You live in your precious U$ and do not see the people in there who just have the same problems.

Where again are you currently living ? The good old US of A perhaps ?

It is easier to say they are just lazy. Wake up man, wake finally up from your high tower in which only your beloved self counts and perhaps a long way down the ladder a few persons else who have the same illusionary view on real life as you yourself. Not everybody chooses to do without a job!

I prefer to not have a job. I don't take handouts and I pay for everything I use. Is that a problem ?

There is a lot to say against the homeless, and I am convinced that most of you arrogant and spoiled people here are looking down on homeless people.

Why not ? They got where they are by choice. They have decided to throw in the towel and let society look after them. I have no use for the homeless as I'm sure they have no use for me. Except perhaps to hold out their hand on the street for money they did not earn.

I suggest you look a little further than your own, warm, cozy life in which you live up to the standards of uncle sam or you are just in your teens and do not even know how ugly life can get sometimes.

Like I said, I've been all over the world and have seen how ugly life can get. That is why I have no sympathy for the homeless that live in a country that allows them the freedom to not be homeless. And if you had spent any time in any of the poorer nations of the world, you would realize these people cannot understand why there are homeless in free nations. If they had the same opportunities as you and I, they would not be homeless and poor.

By the way (Q), did you join bush's new security cabinet? If not, then I suggest you do so.

I suggest you get out of your little hole in the wall and see the world. There is much you know nothing about.

Tyler and Q, you must READ THE BIBLE to have a proper understanding of current events. Look at Banshee, who is very enlightened!!
