They don't have to be suicidal - just arrogant and ignorant and cornered or frustrated somehow.

War with China will be started by an accumulation of mistakes on the part of people with armies. That's one of the ways the mistake-prone represent substantial threats when in command of armies.

You know full well what... Pretending to be dumb isn't endearing you to anyone.

You made a bold claim - why are you suddenly running from it...

This sums up the situation for millennials.

Here's some acetodoes, for whatever they are worth:
Dear Boomers: Here's Why Millennials Hate You
The Baffling Reason Why So Many Millennials Hate Baby Boomers

Some decent analysis via the WaPo:
Baby boomers are what’s wrong with America’s economy
They chewed up resources, ran up the debt and escaped responsibility.

    --o--
My point is this: If The People take a magical vote for some free shit, and they decide to 'tax' / steal it from Baby Boomers (which is where all the wealth is locked up, not doing the 'economy' any good, where it should be buying disposable iPhone7S's and not disposable nappy's, would Joe support this. You know, because a magic vote was taken.

Let's start with...What exactly do you want to be fixed with this nation?

America and China's economies are locked together. If anything, Trump wants Chinese investment into America - and that's it. He doesn't want to start a war, trade it otherwise, with China.

He may ramp up the war in the ME in a manner more akin to the firebombing of Dresden.

Your post #55 was an assertion of falsehood.
Your link you labeled "this sums up the situation for millenials" says they aren't buying houses because they are too poor. This is true, but has nothing to do with your false assertions.
And so forth. Your links make very good points about the Baby Boomers being selfish fuckups - but not like you claim.
Your point is imaginary. The discretionary wealth is locked up in the 1%, not the Boomers - the Boomers have a famously low savings rate. The Boomers didn't create this situation by voting themselves free shit, but by fighting a bunch of expensive wars on credit and canceling excellent and high return government programs in order to lower taxes on rich people - by keeping their own money, as people like you like to put it, after taking advantage of the "free shit" their parents and grandparents paid for.

Meanwhile, the "free shit" people you object to were trying to keep that from happening - it was the "free market capitalists", the "no free shit welfare", the "lower taxes on the rich to create jobs" on the right that put the wars on credit, deregulated the banks, promoted and built the sports stadiums, and took the cost controls off Medicare Plan D (topics your links mentioned), while the "free shit" people you despise were getting beat in the voting booths and legislatures.

So which side were you on, in the voting booths and legislatures where the hardworking, well-educated, church-going, family values people stepped hard on the "free shit" advocates, and voted themselves tax breaks for all their responsible personal behavior, big armies defending their status in the world, and sports stadiums for their entertainment?

Oh, I dunno... Outrageous health care costs, life-debt level costs of getting a college degree, continued erosion of privacy, the rich elite paying near zero effective taxes, renewed attacks on women's, LGBT, and minority rights... Just for starters

Oh come on, the municipal bonds, the trillions in treasuries. They didn't pay for it. They sold debt on their children, hoping they wouldn't notice. And it's not an accounting trick, their kids actually have a lower standard of living.

If the Progressives hadn't given us the Federal Reserve, fiat currency and income tax, these points would be mute. It wouldn't possible for Government to do the things it did and does (like bailing out the crony bankers, regulating healthcare into astronomical pricing, and waging phony trillion dollar wars (6 trillion) or the 12 trillion blown through on the war on poverty (zero change across 50 years).

What is the solution? Is that what you're asking me? My opinion? You already know it. Sound money, law and freedom. It's not really that hard. Like sunshine, co2 and water

I keep hearing this 'rights' thing. What legal 'rights' to white males have that women, LGBTQ2 or a Jew/Black/Asian not have?

Because I'm fairly certain all citizens are afforded the same legal rights once they reach 21.

That's an easy one - safety and security. There are many regions where a man or woman can come under attack (physical as well as verbal) just for being gay. Or how about the fact that, simply for being transgender, there are places where a business can decide they won't serve you?

There was a rather large kerfuffle about that a few years back... Something called the civil rights movement. It appears the lesson wasn't adequately learned the first time around...

    Seriously:
    You can not legislate morality.

Assault is assault. Physical assault is a crime.
We already have laws and regulations for that.

I have been assaulted as well for the silliest of reasons(verbally), and/or for no discernable reason.
    Such is life.

Yes, they did. And they paid off WWII at the same time. And built the US freeway system. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_States_public_debt#/media/File:US_Debt_Trend.svg

Amazing what you can afford to pay off with a progressive income tax and a willingness to do preventive maintenance, provide for your children, etc.
    It's "moot".

And if the Progressives hadn't given us those things, all this prosperity you malign the Boomers for blowing would never have existed. Including indoor plumbing, and electrical service, btw - never mind the internet, or First World medical care.
