Well, not quite. That's secular emotional response i.e. "how I feel." The moral decisions I make - that's morality.

Morality is the result of emotions - guilt and empathy.

Do you actually think Christians actively pursue wrongdoing? They are just human like you. .Every Christian I know acknowledge they aren't perfect, and try that bit extra to love thy neighbour. Repentance is a core value in Christianity, unless you can't repent from sin you are using the Lord's name in vain.

Yep, and I say, if it was an eye for an eye we'd all be blind.

That's not what it means. Cafeteria Christians pick and chose, taking only the parts they like from the Bible and ignoring the rest.

Has that not been changed to "Do not seek personal vengeance but take it to a court (legal redress) for resolution?

    What's the purpose of repentance?

If a murderer(normally convicted) turns to Jesus then he ideally will not murder again once he's released, same for any crime. It's to change your ways so they are more in line with love thy neighbour as yourself, and love thy G-d with all your heart(which is basically to keep the 10 commandments).

I thought it was so criminals would look better when they went before the parole boards.

    How do you know?

Because if you don't have empathy for another person, you won't act morally towards them.
