OK. OK. I open hatch door. Whoosh. Oops. Brave taikonaut swept out of capsule to a nasty death. Mission failure. But maybe someone else's mission success!

"Determining the difference between poltergeist activity and ghosts or haunting activity can be difficult. While ghost and haunting activity is the result of spirit energy, poltergeist activity—also known as "recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis" or RSPK—is the result of psychic energy generated (usually unconsciously) by a person, referred to as an agent.

But how do you know there might be poltergeist activity in your home? Most often, you'll know if you have it because it is out of the ordinary and pretty obvious: sounds, movements, and odors of unknown origin.

Below are seven of the most common types of poltergeist activity. Let's be clear, however: Because you experience—or think you experience—one or more of the activities listed below does not mean that there definitely is poltergeist activity. There could be more mundane, every day causes for the activity. For example, smells of unknown origin could be wafting in from an open window; lightings flickering on and off could be faulty wiring.

You should always seek logical explanations before jumping to the conclusion that it is poltergeist activity. True poltergeist activity, although it is a well-documented phenomenon with many real cases, is relatively rare. A professional investigator might be able to help you to determine the cause of what you are experiencing......."

No issue with the signs list - otoh the author's preferred particular school of thought - poltergeist activity is primarily errant subconscious 'mind powers' - doesn't fly with me.
Just think of how intricate and purposefully directed is the control needed to accomplish ANY of those signs - even the 'simple' ones like thrown objects. Weak electrical activity within a brain achieving any such stretches credulity way too far imo.
Instead, just one facet of the work of mischievous intelligent entities (spirits/demons/whatever else one likes to use as label).
That encompasses nonmundane: UFOs, 'ghosts', 'shadow people', 'orbs', 'mystery lights', mystery sounds', 'possessions', and assorted other phenomena all under the paranormal banner.
Materialists are incapable of rationally processing the abundance of documented evidence for such, owing to rigid ideological commitment. Hence extremely thin arguments, or more frequently ad homs, are the normal responses.

Good point with the phenomena of poltergeists being too precise for random pk surges. There does seem to be a conscious entity behind it all, as many accounts document voices and messages scrawled on walls and mirrors. Some kind of primitive elemental intelligence perhaps that feeds on fear energy.

Yes whoever or whatever they are, master tricksters with at best mischievous intent fits their job description best. A combination of phenomenal abilities but degenerate morality.
Thankfully pretty rare, and pubescent children do seem to be especially targeted. But, as with this case, perfectly stable folks with no evident past experiences making them prime targets, just get picked on lottery style. Best we can speculate anyway. And it's incredibly diverse - recall the kaleidoscopic jumble of events with The Strange Case of Doctor X for instance.
The kind of thing that really annoys debunkers who insist if such happenings were real they should all conform to some regular lab testable pattern. All the evidence says otherwise. Free will can result in puzzling consequences.

STOP PRESS: These articles suggest, despite more than 10 years fruitless investigation by Yang and technicians, in fact a mundane explanation for mystery knocks is likely though not proven:
    https://www.inverse.com/article/24605-chinese-astronaut-hears-knocking-aliens
    https://usa.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2016-12/02/content_27545348.htm
One surmises some technical staff were subsequently informed their services were no longer required.

So disappointing - I just desperately, desperately needed it to be poltergeist!

My guess would be heating or cooling of their vehicle, or prehaps inflation by internal pressure in the vacuum of space. All of those can be expected to create sounds.

Except none were ever reported by US/USSR astronauts/cosmonauts, dating back to the early 1960s pioneering solo orbits. You could argue 'made in China' syndrome, in a derogatory sense.
Maybe but with do much decades long trial-and-error (mostly espionage-obtained) info readily gleaned from their rivals, it goes against the grain as to their ability to first copy then modify then innovate - like the Japanese did re cars, TVs etc. By all accounts they would have hit the ground running so to speak. OTOH if they really were rather incompetent despite all those hindsight advantages, it sort of adds a sigh of relief re their military capabilities in general.

Anyway the evidently most likely 'normal' explanation - thermal expansion of air trapped between inner and outer cylindrical shells of capsule, has been officially accepted as covered in articles linked to in #8.
But after more than 10 subsequent years trying by team(s) of technicians, never physically reproduced on the 3? capsules experiencing the in-orbit creepy acoustics. Doubts linger.
