Language Origin MYTHS

    I am not looking for truth - I am looking for stories.

    One thing I have found in the stories I have been reading is that there are very few religious myths about the creation of language, and in those that do exist most of them have God(s) giving man language at the time of creation.

    I think this says a lot about man's ideas of his origin and the concept that man was created as something "special" by something more "special".
    Man tends to see himself as above animals, and it seems the concept of evolution (even in infancy or a vague state) did not exist in the minds of "primative" man.
    We were created as we are - the demigod masters of this domain.

    Do you believe that there is a single common component contained in all Creation Myths? Do they all contain a "creator"? Do they share similarities across continents? These are some of the questions that interest me when speaking of Creation Myths.
