Clueless (sadly, Brittany Murphy died recently, aged just 32) Airplane. You always find new jokes you missed before. Rocky I, Rambo I Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources
I agree, that is one movie I don't care to see again. I see there are some other Rocky fans around here. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Life is too short to watch ANY movie over and over again. Haven't you lot got anything better to do? But I might watch American Graffiti again. And maybe Le Salaire de la Peur and Caché.
Because it reminds me of what He did for me. I know it's just a movie so it does not really affect me. I can also watch brain surgery and not get creeped out, so all the blood and guts do not affect me. Nothing gives me nausea. I've seen/smelled it all.
Amelie [Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain] Can't believe I forgot that one. I love that concept love that garden dwarf going on world travels, the discarded torn pictures that Mathieu collects from under photo booths. I love it when Amelie switches the toothpaste and foot cream of that obnoxious neighbour, switches the latch on his door, changes his clocks. I love that Georgette and Joseph fall in love simply because they believe they are loved. I love the movie Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Some of my favorites that haven't been mentionioned yet.. Glengarry Glen Ross Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Once Old School 28 Days Later Dodgeball Detroit Rock City Mystery Men School of Rock Office Space
Harold and Maude The Big Lebowski How to Get Ahead in Advertising Bad Santa I think I average about once a year on those. I guess I prefer repeated viewings of comedies.
Here is a whitled down list of ten movies I have watched more than once. If there's a movie on this list you haven't seen, you ought to. All are highly entertaining. Earth = beautiful & interesting film. Almost Famous = true story. Fabulous characters! Captain Ron = so funny! Second Hand Lions = see it! A Fish Called Wanda = LOL Michael -- John Travolta. Fine actor. He's not "that kind of angel". Ruthless People = funny! True Lies = great action. Funny movie Victor/Victoria = one of the funniest movies ever made! I watch Harold & Maude every couple of years. Far out!
Dances with Wolves Big Daddy The Fountain Goodfellas You've Got Mail Paranormal Activity Up Braveheart The Patriot 21
Yeah, a lot of these are good movies, but I wouldn't stop and watch them mid way through if I flipped to it on the television. The Secretary, I would. LOVE that movie. And maybe Princess Bride. And I have to admit I watch any Pixar movie
I asked the question because, I found myself watching The Bridges of Madison County on TV on the weekend. I have seen this movie a few times, but I just couldn't help watching it again. Some movies on my list make me feel good every time I watch them. For instance when I watch Rocky, I feel really good inside. Some other movies, I can relate my own life with. I also like movies that can get me all emotionally charged up....sad or angry. For instance we watched the movie Precious and I had knots in my stomach, wanting to kill the mother in it. If it can make me tear up, then it is a pretty good movie because I am not a big wuss. Other movies like the Big Lewbowski makes me laugh everytime I watch it. We watch a lot of movies, and I have to say I think a lot of them are CRAP. So when a movie really touches me or the acting is outstanding, I find that a lot of other movies just don't compare. There are some movies mentioned that I have never seen, i will have to check them out.
If you would look at post # 10 of mine you will see a few scl fii movies as well as fantasy movies listed.
But sometimes crap is sooo much fun to watch. Especially those awful movies that come on Syfy (SciFi). They're just fun to laugh at, the bad acting, the bad graphics, the stupid nonsensical plot lines...
That part actually made me laugh out loud in the theater. The look on the face of the one Roman soldier was priceless. Then when they brought JC before Pilate afterward, it looked rather like someone had dumped a barrel of red Jell-O over 'um. Kelly's Heroes Fail Safe Seven Days In May Monty Python and the Holy Grail The Manchurian Candidate Battleground Oh Brother, Where Art Thou Stalag 17 Emperor of the North Pole Once Upon a Time in the West Cleopatra The Fall of the Roman Empire A Face in the Crowd One, Two, Three Already mentioned were Goodfellas The Big Lebowski The Good, The Bad & The Ugly One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Invasion of the Body Snatchers Being There
Of course Killjoy would be a fan of 'Monty Python and the holy grail' I must have watched that movie a dozen times as a kid, I watched a small snippet on youtube recently and cracked up, extremely funny stuff. The only other movie I have willingly watched more than once is 'The Big Blue'. An Australian movie, 'The Castle' is worth more than one look. 'Manon de sources' to die in arms of Emmanuel Beart.
